Do not change pick up locations of the U-Haul rental so close to the pick up date. It put me in a real bind. Also, the employee at the stop and save carry out pick up location didnot know how to assist me for the U-Haul rental pick up.

Friendly and Fast Service Thank You!
Troy MI had ordered a dozen packing blankets which this location did not have. I was never refunded for their rental and were it not for the good service I received when I returned the trailer, I'd likely have been charged for them. This location made no effort to correct the issue.
Ryon CU-Haul’s system was down for an hour when I went to try to pick up my truck. Couldn’t get ahold of a representative. Absolutely ridiculous. I was on a very tight schedule and U-Haul’s unreliability caused many problems and headaches.
Lucas HWhen I booked through 1-800-GO-UHAUL, the representative assured me I could pick up the truck after hours and everything would be ready. When I arrived, the store owner told me I needed to come inside. After reviewing my reservation, he indicated it had been set up as a one-way trip and that he couldn't change it. When I asked whether there was a drop-off location closer to my destination, he dismissed the question entirely and proceeded to cancel my online reservation and recreate it manually. I then asked about the deposit I had already paid and whether I would be charged a second one. He confirmed I would, adding that U-Haul would refund the original within a few days — presented as if it were a non-issue and my only option. He quoted the new reservation at $103 based on my 40-mile estimate. When I pushed back, the price dropped to $78. My original app estimate had been $72. When I asked about the discrepancy, he said he had no idea and couldn't do anything about it. I signed reluctantly and hoped for the best. The return the following day was straightforward, and my final charge of $69.95 was actually lower than estimated — so no complaint there. However, I noticed a second charge of approximately $72 that held against my account for 24 hours before falling off. I had the buffer to absorb it, but most people don't have an extra $70 sitting idle for days due to a billing process that should have been handled more transparently from the start. My concerns are threefold: the after-hours pickup promise was not honored, the reservation was handled poorly at the counter with no clear explanations, and the double-charge practice was never disclosed upfront.
