The truck air conditioning did not work and not discovered until after leaving. The U-Haul location did everything they could to rectify and did a great job servicing the customer. U-Haul, however, dropped the ball. Too hard to contact by phone. I was on hold for customer service for over 14 minutes and gave up. The day prior I was on hold for 12 minutes and 15 minutes. I was trying to modify the pick up location and the representative offered to provide me a number for their Scheduling Dept. after being on hold for so long, I passed on that offer. Seems as though U-Haul has a staffing issue. My recent rental with Penske was MUCH easier.

55 miles allowed? Really? I'm sure it was because of the computer but managers should know they are allowed to give or take a few miles and/or add a few extra miles. Not cool. Got charged for going over by 6 miles.

This love action was excellent!! Now for the bad which this location was not responsible for! I reserved a truck at Uhaul.com stating I want a location in Waxhaw which is 6 miles from my home. When I received the reservation it was at a location in Indianland SC which is 25 miles away the wrong direction of where my move was occurring. I called & explained the situation & was assured it would be corrected. The next reservation was at a different location but still in Indianland SC. I had to call again & got a reservation in Monroe NC at a gas station. I arrive at 10:30 Friday to pick up the truck only to be told that the man who rents trucks is in meetings & not available until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I leave there n go to another location on rt 74 in Monroe but they aren’t open until Tuesday due to the holiday. I then call 1-800-uhaul & ask for help which is how I got to Nicholson Farm store.

Truck was clean but tow dolly was not safe the week covering was cracked was told it would be fine 4 hours into my drive it flew off and was hanging had to pull over busy section to unhooked

Typical of U-Haul, we made our reservation at a specific location and received an email confirmation with a note that someone would call to confirm on Monday evening, 8/28. We arrived at the location and was told that they only had one 10 foot truck and it was for LOCAL use only. The rep called and was told that my reservation had been transferred to another location but I had received an upgrade. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THAT UHAUL HAS SWITCHED MY PICKUP WITH NO NOTIFICATION. This results in LOST TIME and delays. WE DID NOT NEED AN UPGRADE!!! THAT FIXES NOTHING WHEN YOU SELECT THE CORRECT SIZE TRUCK TO BEGIN WITH. This resulted in extra tie downs, strapping items in so they do not shift. WHY does UHAUL think an upgrade will fix poor customer service!?!????!
