Nothing perfect

The U-Haul rep seemed very young, and informative. When I asked questions as to why the charges were so high, he gave me reasoning that wasn’t factual.

The U-Haul itself was great. The location was pathetic. Reservation was for 10am. No one showed up to help us until 10:35am after 3 phone calls. No apologies for making us wait. Very poor customer service. Would never use that location again.

The location did not have the additional rental item I requested. The request was made 12 days prior, I really needed the furniture dolly as we were moving a breakfront that was very heavy. I was told that they did not have any, and was given a regular appliance dolly as an alternative. It should have been thrown in for free but I still had to pay for it.

Took me 45 minutes to find someone to help me, then had to do the registration over the phone, people were very pleasent, but the wait irritated me. Will not use uhaul again at this location.

U-Haul corporate had poor communication, last minute I was changed to pick up the truck at a different location and then what was promised to me to pay was not the price when I went to pick up the equipment, spent several hours in several days trying to talk to people in regards even after they had the account notated That the price that I was given was correct but they would not honor it because the sales rep should not have given me that price. The reservation manager basically said there was nothing for her to do, I would have to pay the additional $600. The crazy thing about it all that it was notated in my account but the sales rep gave me the price that I was offered. And after they said that they were going to contact me 24 hours to 48 hours to let me know that I was confirmed for my appointment I had to call to confirm the appointment and then they change my pick up time two times and changed my location last minute to 30 minutes north which was completely out of my way.

I would have U-Haul explain that you are going to a hotel which has no signage in regards to U-Haul so they don’t waste 30 mins driving in circles because there’s no GPS signal in the area.

The mirror on the right side of the truck was secured with tape and could not move for good visibility, making it very difficult to drive on the road.

Quite a hassle. Long wait time. Owner was very nice, but process was tedious to say the least. Truck had a lot of damage and the horn didn’t work. Also the cruise control didn’t work.

Better customer service in the scheduling department!! Location pick up was great but not the one I originally requested! This company lacks commitment to their customers needs, requests personal calendars and that makes your company's customer satisfaction policy non existent!

Perfect location for community service

Did not fill out the correct information. Uhaul had to call me separately to finish up the paperwork over the phone.


Was told by uhaul I could have 2 extra days because the location would be closed over the weekend. "Return it by 7am Monday and no one will know what time it came back" this information turned out to be inaccurate costing me an extra 120$. Live and learn I guess. I Will never rent uhaul again.

Great location. Only thing that was dumb was that the dispacher couldn't get the truck and trailer both at the same location(Easton). So they booked the Truck at this place(Mt Bethel) and the trailer in Harmony NJ(they said it was in Phillipsburg). And then they charged me extra for the miles. Unbelieveable.

I was scheduled to have the truck at 8am. Rental locale was a bed and breakfast and did not open until 10am. I did not get my truck until almost 11am. My movers were accommodating to the constant changes but had another job at 1pm. From 12pm on I moved myself. I am 51 and suffered damage not only to my person but to my property. This is no way to run a business. This was the second place i was getting the truck from. The first place stopped renting Uhauls and I suspect this is the reason why. Had I not contacted Uhaul directly I'd have not known when or where i was picking up the truck until 4 days prior to my move. Not knowing if you will have a truck or not 4 days prior to a move is not acceptable. No customer should have to endure what I endured this weekend. It is egregious. If I worked for Uhaul I would be embarrassed and appalled.

showed up at 4:30 for a 4:45 pickup. did the pre check in online and still didn't leave until almost 7 pm. Had to get cash because they could not get the card to work, yet it worked everywhere else. Thhey charged two days, had the truck only 24 hours. Said we would be getting money back, still have not heard anything. overall very frustrating although I understand they are new to uhaul, I had a time schedule to keep
