When I booked online, I booked a 26’ truck for pick-up in Kennett square, pa. I even got a confirmation email. Two days before my move date I got a call from uhaul saying we only have a 20’ truck and it’s in Newport delaware. That location added an hour to my drive and several miles. I happened to need a van unexpectedly on an end of the month weekend and tried several other U-Haul locations, even a Penske, with no success. This wasn't a surprise considering the normal rush on end of the month weekends, but what did disturb me was the apparent lack of care or offer to help from those locations who had managed to be "sold out". I was on my own, Fortunately, by calling other locations, I found this one in Newport, Delaware on Ayre Street and found the staff to be extremely polite, caring, and this may seem relatively unimportant - spoke clear English. Although further away from my home, I will go to them in the future should I require use of a U-Haul again. Note: I like that U-Haul posts their daily rate on the trucks - $19.95 per day for local. The Penske location did not and when I asked how much for a day rental, I was quoted $60 per day!

I pre planned my trip and calculated my miles. I new it would be about 30-35 miles. I was charged just shy of 60 miles. I gave them my exact route and after they added the hours and of course it was within my calculations. I was refused an adjustment because the truck never had an issue ??. So, I will never use this location, because I have issue with being robbed!

More parking spots to leave personal car would be better. Clerk was super helpful with checking in, adjusting mirrors tips on driving this larger vehicle.

This location was pleasant to work with! Would recommend them to anyone. We were supposed to pick our u-haul up from the u-haul place in the city of Wilmington. No one showed up to the store to open it so after an hour of waiting there we decided to call to help line. I was transferred 4 times before they told me there was nothing I could do. They lady also on the phone said there was no other U-Hauls that I could rent. We called the one in Newport and they said they had one. They were all set when we got there! Thank you to this location for helping us with our move in day.

The computer system was down and it took longer than expected and my paper work was emailed to my cell phone by the clerk. I don't fault the clerk. I fault U-Haul.

I was advised by Richard in the office Monday that I would be charged .69 cents per mile, I agreed and when I went back in Thursday to pick up the truck and finalize the paper work the woman in the office told me my information was not saved so we had to start over and that it would be .99 cents per mile. I told her I agreed to .69 cents so she kindly advised me to call traffic once the truck is dropped back off and they can adjust it. I did exactly what I was advised to do and Grace in traffic told me that was untrue, since they have already dispatched me she can not change the price. If I would have known to call before hand I would have but since I was told to call at the end I trusted the office staff who works for uhaul! Now I have to take out more time, go to the office, file my complaint and hope that I get whatever refund I can for misleading me with false information. I was highly upset and disappointed in the knowledge that the office staff lacked.

The OWNER ( Not Chantelle employee) Was disrespectful ride ignorant and abusive not just towards myself but also towards his employee Chantelle UHaul should be disgraced of such abusive disrespectful rude ignorant abusive relation style conduct and behavior by a U Haul franchise OWNER. Unacceptable and abusive especially after spending Wasting 2 1/2 hours at the location trying to sort out fix and correct issues created by U Hail in closing out the rental

Very seamless, from reserving online, to pick up and return. The lady at Lady Liberty was very helpful, so the human part of it is still there which is good. It was my first time using this service and I expect will do so again. Very pleased.

This location was great however we initially went to a different location because that was listed on our confirmation . This led to a delay in our move and cost us significant money which was frustrating. I found it very frustrating we received no call or anything.

Had a terrible experience with uhaul and its new app system. The customer service was unwilling to work with me and I was charged an additional charge of 89.00 and 10.00 for insurance after returning my rental 1:30 later.
