I've had a few issues with this uhaul location and I probably won't be back. I rented a motorcycle trailer. When I went to return it the next morning not only did it take over half hour for them to return it, they tried charging me for two days when I didn't even have it for 24 hours(which was corrected). Later that day I called in to reserve and enclosed trailer. I told the girl on the phone that my father in law was coming to pick it up for me, He doesn't know what he's doing so please just put the $8 insurance on and he will sign for it. she said no problem and said they would have the trailer out and ready for 545. When my father in law came to get the trailer, not only was it not ready it was still buried in snow. My father in law ended up digging the snow out so she could put it on the truck, which took almost 45 min. When I went return the trailer the next day they ended up charging me for the more expensive insurance even though I specifically asked for the $8 insurance on the phone. The guy asked the lady and she said once it's selected I have to pay for the insurance that was selected.. I was extremely pissed off and got into an argument with the lady. I didn't really about the cost of the more expensive insurance because it was only $10 extra but it was just issue after issue after issue with this place. No issues with the rentals itself it just seems likes some of the staff are incapable of doing their jobs correctly.
The truck went into malfunction throughout the trip. The manager at the location did not take any responsibility for the fact this truck was not fully operational and should have been serviced prior to the trip. He blamed me for not returning it. But this is why I continued the trip which was a long one. When the service lights went on (which scared me as I was driving and seeing it all come on!), I pulled into a gas station to call U-Haul and let them know about the issue. The kind gentleman who I dealt with said, I know it sounds crazy but if I just gassed up then open the gas cap and then close it again. This happens he says and this is how to fix it. So I did what he suggested but eventually the service panel lights all came on again...saying, service airbag (which really frightened me) and tires etc. I called them again to let them know this did not fix it. I was afraid that headlights which were flickering would turn off eventually which I needed driving into country roads at night. When the service lights came on, the radio shut off, the clock and the signals. On the return trip, the truck did not turn on at all at one stop, so that's when I called road side assistance. I did not explain to the manager that his employee said that 'this happens' and to 'fix it by opening the gas cap and closing it again'. When I went to pick the truck up for the trip, the employee gave me the necessary paperwork and highlighted the roadside assistance number. I have used U-Haul before and I don't recall being told about roadside assistance and didn't have issues with the vehicles. The number for roadside assistance number that the employee highlighted was actually the claims number which I called but found out it was the incorrect number. I called U-Haul to let them know that this was the claims number and they said there is a number underneath it. Well, that number is so small and I found out when I returned the truck that the employees were highlighting the wrong number. I would like some compensation for this trip. I think I experienced a lot of stress and felt I was in danger as the last road side assistant personnel acknowledged, who offered a stay at a hotel for the night which I didn't find out about until I got home. I didn't pick up the phone because the traffic was heavier and it is not handsfree.
I had a really bad experience with uhaul truck rental Niagara Falls on February 1st. First of all positive things, truck was well cleaned and tidy. Negatives as follows I asked for the road side assistance since the truck stuck at the snow they said they were unable to help because it wasn't an accident,this kind of experience is not acceptable even I payed the insurance.I waited for almost 3 hours for help nothing happened . Also I notice that the tires were all season during the heavy winter season.more over I didn't get my refund so far .they took twice money twice form my account. I never come back.

The truck i had has a slight problem but im sure it would be dealt with. But one of the the trucks I almost took out had a bad wheel bearing other then that great staff truck was clean

The inside of the windshield wasn't cleaned properly, and the return process took longer as anticipated as nobody met me outside (albeit it was a Saturday). These are minor gripes though, and everyone at the Kent st location did great.
The key drop off process is long and a bit onerous to do without expecting it. I was alone with my friend much longer than we wanted to be. This process should be explained in advance so we can open the app and take pictures immediately of the box and the odometer and gas tank before we get out.

I wouldn't recommend UHaul in general - the location was fine (employees and the maintenance of the location were great). I ordered a 26' truck but couldn't find on the website the actual dimensions of the truck, so I understood that I was getting a 26' truck. My truck was ~22' long. After my rental, I called and was informed by the UHaul representative that the dimensions are hidden at the bottom of the website. This is a dishonest practice in hiding the information. It should be quite apparent to the customer that the truck bed is shorter than 26' and that the mom's attic is where the additional footage is located. I was unable to move all my belongings because the truck wasn't actually 26' on the bed. I ordered a 26' truck because I needed 26' in length. The truck also revved incredibly high (4-5RPM) and was therefore very poor on fuel economy. In terms of equipment and company transparency, I am very disappointed and will not be recommending UHaul because of this experience.
