John TThe air conditioning went out during the trip. I had to drive 3 hours in 95 degree heat without AC. Those things happen, and I understand that. But it would have been nice to be compensated somehow for that. But I guess that is not U Haul policy. Certainly no compensation was offered, so I figured that was the policy: too bad, if you don't like ot, use Penske or Ryder next time.
STEVEN BU-Haul is a dishonest company and I don’t plan to ever use them again. They use deceptive pricing practices and the online reservation system can’t be trusted. I made an online reservation days in advance only to be called the day before and told they don’t have the truck available for me. When I asked about their “reservation guarantee”, they said it only applies after they call you back. What a sham for a system. To add additional insult, I was charged a petty fuel charge when I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel it had when I received it, actually even more but they lied about the original amount. It’s ridiculous that the truck is not provided with a full tank of gas on pickup, but now I realize this is just another deceptive practice of Uhaul.
