An employee named "Mann" at the Sinclair Gas Station in Oakdale, CA was very knowledgeable and accommodating. U-haul needs to purchase more auto transport trailers ! There were no auto transport trailers available within 200 MILES of home in Manteca, CA (after more than 1 week's lead time). That's unacceptable ! "Mann" went the extra mile and asked another customer if he could modify his reservation. And he was able to accommodate the other customer and me ! This guy DESERVES a raise !!! Call me for details. You have my order number.

Not only was the truck filthy and not maintained, the owner has been using my email address for everyone who's come after me as their receipt email. I called uhaul today and let them know. I also made sure my credit card wasn't being used. In fact this email is not in regards to my rental which was last week in Oakdale and Sonora but for one of the customers that came after me.

This was an absolute nightmare. If I had an alternative to uhaul I would have taken it. In the future unless I'm in a bind, I will never use uhaul again. Four days prior to my reservation, I received a phone call informing me that I my uhaul was not going to be available at the reserved location. Instead I'd have to drive 100 miles to OAKDALE to pick up the uhual. I immediately complained, the rep I spoke with gave me a $50 discount, which calmed me for a moment. Saturday morning came, I headed out of the city at 7am, I was informed that I couldn't pick it up till 9am. This was not the case, the location was at a gas station I could have picked it up much earlier... I ended up spending $100 in gas for the round trip, which was beyond frustrating. I didn't make it back to the city until 2pm!!! It took me another 6 hours to pack my stuff and finally we left at 8pm... If I could have picked it up at Treasure Island where I reserved it, I would have been out of the city at 2. I had an 8 hour drive ahead of me. Leaving at 8pm, I was not scheduled to arrive until 3-4am. We were forced to pull over in the middle of the night as we were too tired to continue. I ended up having to sleep in my truck while my girlfriend rented a hotel, I was worried that my stuff would be stolen because it was in the back of my truck bed. This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had, and it's all thanks to you :)

I reserved a hand truck/dollie and he didn't have one the day I picked up the truck. He charged me for gas on top of 99 cents a mile which was never spoken of during the reservation process or the picking up process. He kept serving other customers instead of finishing our transaction which kept me there 40 minutes and I was on a deadline as I was moving an office. The truck was filthy inside and out.

I was suppose to take return the truck in Modesto. There was a uhaul a block away from where I relocated. We were able to return the truck there with no issues.

I'm very disappointed with u haul the service I have recieved was terrible. First I made a reservation only to be canceled and I was told the only trailer they had was 3.5 hours out if my way. The worst thing is after driving all that way on a Saturday they were close at 12:00 PM then the next week I went to another uhaul for the trailer only to find out that they didn't have any tools to install the the trailer. I had to go buy another trailer hitch and tools so we could install it. Next the attendant didn't really don't know what he was doing. I had to point out that he didn't really have the trailer properly attached to my truck. I could go on and on about the poor service I recieved from uhaul but it is useless to keep complaining. Very bad customer service.

Went to pick up the auto transport trailer and one tire strap was completely broke off and the other was frayed. I had to go buy straps just to use it. Their lack of attention cost me $60 on top of the cost of the rental. They offered no discount or any help with the cost of straps. Take it or leave it was their attitude.

These people don't understand what they are doing! The person taking my order did not know what he was doing and was being coached by another employee, who had to intervene after some time had passed. They had a problem with my credit card and had to call somewhere to get it sorted out. In all it took over 30 minutes to complete. Then they gave me a truck with a faulty ringing alarm that they couldn't figure out how to stop. So we had to do the process all over again to get me another truck. This all took over an hour to complete! Upon my return I was told "no charge" since they had messed up earlier. I was told that the morning people didn't do things correctly. When I questioned this he said, "No charge, sorry." Then today I find that indeed I was charged. Frankly these people should not be allowed to offer U-Haul services. They obviously don't know what they are doing. In addition, their communications skills, both on the telephone and in-person, are barely intelligible. This will be my last U-Haul experience, if this is the level of competence and vehicle maintenance I can expect.

Have the person who works at the gas station speak English and be on the same page as the uhaul people. We were told 2 different things


Horrible customer service. One of the two employees that helped took an hour and a half to get us checked out. Took a picture of my ID 7 times before he figured it out. Put all of my information under another customer's name. Reservation wasn't on file so none of my additional pieces were added (dolly, blankets, etc.) Then had to pay cash and promise to bring a dolly back in one day or I would be charged $300. Rude, spoke little english, and would walk away from the counter when asked a question. What's the point of reserving a truck a week in advance when you get a call the night before your move, only to be told that you will have to drive a half hour to get it and then you are treated poorly. Worst uhaul experience I've ever had. Don't go to this location if you have a choice.

I parked and unhooked the trailer myself, while the guy at the location went back inside after telling me where he wanted it dropped. Once that was done, I was asked for my credit card, which I asked why; I was told there was a "glitch" and he needed it. I informed him the trailer was pre-paid before I picked it up and asked what the "glitch" was. He then said never mind, that everything was fine. He actually charged me for an extra day, without saying a word. I had a suspicion that what he was doing, so I called UHaul and explained what had just occurred, the rep on the line twas great and took care of this and the charges were reversed.

We made our reservation for a trailer a month in advance. Just before closing, the evening before our 8:00 a.m. scheduled pick up, we received a phone call saying that the trailer was no longer available at our scheduled location. We were advised to make arrangements at another location out of town! We were told that sometimes happens when you make reservations too far in advance. Huh???!! U-haul should have had the customer service to not only call in a timely manner, but to make the arrangements for us and not leave us scrambling at the last hour,.. Very disappointed
