My reservation was for 9am. I showed up and the store wasn’t open. No one arrived until 9:35. at no point was I informed that the store would not be opening at their stated open hour by U-Haul or by the signage on the front of the store. I called U-Haul. They said go to the app. Use the app because it’s a 24 hour location. I I downloaded the app. The app kept glitching. I finally got to the end of the process 15 minutes later after having to enter and re-enter my information then I was told the keys were not in a lockbox as the agent on the phone had informed me, they were in fact only up at the counter of the store. Meaning not only is this not a 24 hour location as it was advertised, it is also not a location that is even open during the stated hours of U-Haul or the store itself. I made a reservation for 9 o’clock and I didn’t leave with the truck until 955. I am now over an hour late for a day full of back-to-back stops and meetings. I am coordinated with other people who have rented equipment and trucks, and this will now create overages for all of them. Does U-Haul plan on compensating everyone for the hour of rental? Not only is your website information for this location incorrect not only does the app not work consistently, not only is the store representing U-Haul not open within their stated Anyway, there’s apparently not even enough room in this comment box for me to finish explaining how fucked up this process was.
