I was very disappointed with the resolution, support & tone that I received regarding the extension of a recent U-haul rental. I extended my 7-day rental by 2 extra days, Before I extended it, I received assurances and have email documentation from customer service on the adjusted rates I would be charged for both the (a) original rental period and the (b) extended period. I had confirmation that I would receive the original special rate for the first 7 days and only be charged $19.95/day for the next 2 days. However, when I returned the rental, I was charged a significantly higher amount (over $150) than the adjusted total that was previously communicated to me. When I disputed the charges with the location agent and General Manager (the following day), all I received were responses & replies that customer service didn't understand how the system works. And the GM hyper-focused on ambiguous words and terms used in the quotes I received in the email from customer service. Had I known that the total charges were going to be significantly higher, I would have returned the rental on the original date. And I would NOT have extended the rental period for the additional 2 days. But, rather than understand how I, the customer, interpreted the assurances and quotes that were explicitly given to me, the General Manager decided to respond like a lawyer, rely on ambiguous words to justify the higher charges, and over-complicate how the systems/contract terms work for rental extensions. I have been a regular U-haul customer for several years and rented from U-haul on several occasions. However, from this experience, I am surprised that U-haul is taking no responsibility for its miscommunication or lack of clarity in its assurances (in email as well as verbal). To U-haul, it feels that the $150+ charge is more important than its continued business and relationship with me. U-haul has lost a loyal customer as well as any future referrals I would have given to family and/or neighbors in the new community I live in, where all are in the moving process.FREDERICK B.

We waited 4 hours in the hot Orlando heat to have the fully loaded truck repaired. We had no running lights and A/C went out. They had to call a master mechanic, since the people there couldn't fix the issue.JAMES T.
Everything was great! I'm 51 years old and I've rented a lot of vehicles (even before we had computers... and even in the Florida Keys). When I go into a truck rental business, my defenses are up as um fully prepared to be hustled. I walked away from this experience with a new fresh outlook. This facility was clean. The equipment was in great shape and clean. The processes streamlined everything and were straight forward and honest. (Of course, don't get the added insurance to save a few bucks if you have your own insurance on a vehicle or credit card ...BUT do get the insurance of you can afford it so you don't have to deal with any nonsense after an accident.) The best part about the experience was the people; they were amazing at each step of the process. Thank you UHaul and local ownership! Although the vehicle was sanitized on the handles and in the driver's cabin and, I understand that you have a very fast turnaround but the exterior of the vehicles should be cleaned before handing over to clients. Otherwise everyone was pleasant and courteous. and on point with their reservations.ISMAEL R.
The vehicle I was assigned was badly in need of an alignment. I had to forcibly hold the steering wheel to the left to keep it going straight. If I put the steering wheel straight the truck went to the right. Also, I signed up online check in. I checked in online on my phone. Did everything I was supposed to do and I STILL had to go inside and wait in line for no reason. The keys are supposed to be in the truck. Why were they being held behind the counter? Furthermore, I finally get to my truck and it is blocked in by another truck. So I had to wait for someone to come and move it so that I could leave. I had a similar experience when returning the truck. No one was there to accept it so I had to go inside and wait in line, again. Lastly, even though there were parking spot available at the front I was instructed to park my car in the grass along the road. Why? Not good customer service.JONATHAN J.
