I was asked to buy a part for hookup that I did not need from another UHaul rental. I returned the rental on time but the location did not check me in then (although they said they would) or give me a receipt showing my return date and time (no receipt at all!). I received a call more than a week later frm dispatch in Orlando asking if I had received a smaller trailer than the one I was charged for. I did. I then explained that they also didn’t give me a receipt when I returned it even though I asked about it. Then called several days later because I hadn’t received the email receipt they said I would get when they fully checked it in. I gave them my email again and they said they would send the receipt immediately but never did. When dispatch called days later about the size mixup and I said I never got a receipt again after a follow up call and promise it would be sent right away, the guy actually charged me for 2 extra days that day and I only caught it because I was calling my bank about something else. First he blamed my bank for a “hold” which he claimed he”s had to “deal with for years as an ongoing problem. I told him it wasn’t a hold but a charge coming from UHaul that day and I had the bank co firm the initial charge went through weeks prior. Then he changed his story to even though he got returned on time on the app, the APP he worked on charged me for the extra days anyhow. So honestly, the whole experience was horrible, inept and /or downright shady and illegal business practices. I will never use UHaul again. I had to keep an eagle eye on the whole process and hold their hands thru it and there were still many more than questionable issues after wasting a lot of my time. This was a pathetic experience for me.
