Not allow pick up until after 9 am. took a while because they were by themselves and they had to check out people at the same time.

On our way to Shelbyville from Joliet, where we got the truck, we got pulled over not once but twice, because the tail lights, rear turn signals and box markers were not working. Now I get that most of these vehicles are not inspected regularly, and we didn't notice when we picked up because it was light out. Not to mention the truck had 12,000 miles on it and the guy at the pick up place said it was brand new! We got to our destination and I tried to find somewhere near us that had the same size truck so we could go exchange it and no one with in 40 miles had one and we weren't driving any farther to exchange. We turned the truck in after having it for less than 24 hours and were told we aren't getting any money back! Listen I understand if I decided we didn't need it for the 2 days, but we did. And we had to drive back home 3 hours to borrow a friends truck to finish what we were doing! We lost 6 hours of work time and I think the least you can do is give us some money back! I emailed the guy that was on the first survey email we got on Saturday and still no response! This isn't right!!

UHaul: Put a backup camera on those trucks. It would make it a lot easier to see what's being backed up to. And a better ride so it's not so uncomfortable.

We had to drive 50 miles to pick up the truck. Good customer service would have been to have the truck brought to the location or even the city from which the customers rent. It was a huge inconvenience.

I would encourage Uhaul to call the customer a little earlier in advance to let them know they couldn't get a tow dolly in their preferred location rather than the day before. It was an inconvenience. However I am thankful for the customer service at the pick up location.

Eric made the return process very easy and quick. He also called me a few minutes after I dropped off my truck to let me know that I had left my sunglasses in the truck. They were expensive sunglasses, and I appreciate him letting me know I had left them!

The gentleman rented me the truck and gave me an extra day on my rental because of it being a holiday making it due back on September 3rd 2018. It was returned that day like I was told to do and on a half tank of gas but yet I got an email telling me I owe money for gas and for the extra day. I should in fact not owe anything at all. When I got to the destination to drop off the truck I had to call a phone number toevn find out where to drop off and the woman I spoke to was rude. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had.


Contract and rates could be explained much better. Went in thinking I would be charged a daily rate, which is what the website suggests, based on my usage. I was told at the time of pickup that the distance I was traveling was what determined how I would pay? I trip that took me roughly 8 hours to complete, and I was billed for 4 days?? I used the trailer for less than 24 hours. Very misleading.

$1.19 per mile rate is pretty extravagant, I could understand half that to make up the depreciation of the vehicle, especially when you have to replace whatever fuel you use.
