Found that rental procedure was a little onerous compared to other vehicle rental agencies. Also, rate of 50 cents per km was excessive. Perhaps could charge a little more for a daily rental and provide 100km free. Would not be my first choice in the future for vehicle rental.

They had something to fix but its ok., they were helpful, courteous n had a good attitude. Asked again when Vehicle observation of noise was relayed.

We were told we could drop off our rental in Sechelt. Upon pick-up (day of our move) we were told we had to return to Nanaimo because there was no depot in Sechelt. This was extremely stressful. Return depot was then changed to Vancouver (closest depot to Sechelt). My fiance had to take time off of work to return. I called customer service to complain. They said it was my fault and also said they spoke to Wayne at the depot. He said that nothing I told them was true. Too much was aid to write it all in this space. I am very disappointed with the service (especially from customer service and will never use U-Haul again.

In the past I have rented from U Haul. However, this time it was a complete nightmare to reserve a truck. It seems that you surmise that ALL are going to be in possession of "Smart Phones"! I could not reserve in the manner that I have done many times in the past. I suggest that whomever is writing your program that you make it, in addition to catering to the new tech users, that there are people in my position that do not have a smart phone and wish to make a reservation on line. Don’t need mile long chains on the trailers, employee was doubling them back, unfortunately I don’t drive a uhaul truck so when pulling the extra long chains thru usually you would take care not to drag the chains across an $80,000 vehicles bumper scratching it. Luckily no one came rushing out on the return and I was able to pull the chains thru nicely and wasn’t even close to my bumper, and got it all undone.

They charged me too much for insurance and did not change it back and wanted to rent the trailer for a day 24 hrs and they where going to charge me for two days. Said it was only good for six hours and had to have it back.

Staff are personable and competent! This dealer ensured my trailer was ready for pickup, in good condition. He asked me about the equipment condition upon return. The location is well laid out making the customer experience first rate. I highly recommend it.

I would recommend always a full tank of gas upon pickup and return of a vehicle. Much simpler than guessing how much is required to bring it back to where it might have been!?

VERY nice location, very friendly staff. NOTE: the address of this location online doesn't accurately reflect the actual physical location so call before and get directions. Don't rely on Google / iphone maps. Re. Gas.... take a picture of your gas gauge to prove it's at the required level. They were going to charge me 28 dollars for gas whereas my picture of the gas gauge proved it was where it should be upon return. I would highly recommend this location. :0)

Vaccuum before rerenting in cab. Pick eighther klm or miles when advertizing rental rate. Step ups for limited mobility persons that must drive. Ask about seating for helpers. Ask about dollies or wraping covers for large breakables.

I do not have any negative comments about the staff or equipment at this location. HOWEVER U-Haul's requirements and process to check out and in a vehicle are ridiculous! 3rd party verification of the renter, suggestion to use smart phone to process vehicle return and agent's inability to access data previously entered during reservation process make for a very frustrating and cumbersome rental. System is NOT user friendly. This review is oriented toward the location or agent. It should also assess U-Haul as a company.
