I did drop off after hours and it was simple with the app. But a bit of an odd spot, which had no U-Haul signage.
Laurens vThe location was closed during daytime drop-off despite Google maps stating it would be open, so no staff was available. There is no parking lot, only street parking in a dense urban neighborhood surrounded by narrow one-way streets. A resident came out asking me to move the truck to a side street to avoid impacting their street parking, but that street was already full of uhaul trucks. I apologized that there was nowhere else to park it and I had already circled the block. There was also no drop box to leave the key in, just a slot in the security gate, which was very confusing. Also I felt bad for the residents who had no street parking on their block because of all the trucks and had to cross busy streets with their kids to get to their vehicles.
REBECCA SWhen I picked up in Philadelphia, the tank was at 1/4 full and I was told I needed to return it at 1/4 full. I found this very irritating as anytime I have rented a car or a truck the gas tank is full and that's how I return it. That is very easy to manage - just stop at the gas station right before dropping it off. In this case I had to get gas before I left hilly without really knowing how much gas I was going to use. I did not want to stop again for gas so I ended up getting enough gas to reach about 7/8 of a tank. When I dropped off the truck the gas gauge was over 1/2. Clearly this is not a company policy because I saw people picking up in Linden, NJ (where I dropped off) and they received the customary full tank of gas.
Brian KThe location was closed and not very noticeable. I didn’t like the area, for safety reasons. The cans were parked on sides streets and not on the main road. I would not use this location again
