I drove 8 miles total. Added 1.7 gallons to replace used gas and was still charged for 2 additional gallons. This makes no sense whatsoever. I called customer service, provided my receipt and will be getting a credit, but I feel that many people never check and wouldn’t be surprised if overcharging to bulk up profits is routine practice. Who is gp No to waste 30 minutes to get back less than $10?

I was picking up a truck with the Truck Share app, and while I was waiting for my driver's license to be confirmed, someone was given the truck by the person staffing the rental office. I was able to get a truck, but it's very disappointing that the system allows for both the office and the app to think they're checking out the truck. Very amateurish. To be clear, this is NOT a criticism of the person in the office. This is a failure of UHaul's internal reservation system and needs to be fixed there.

The site itself was good and I was very pleased with whole process. The only small suggestion is that I had identified online Compass as my drop off location, but this did not show up on my paperwork and I was told to call when I arrived in Pittsburgh. I waited on phone for 20 min and was never able to reach a live person after two calls. I just showed up to Compass and they were expecting me even without the call. So, I would have preferred not to have to call. I am suspecting some issue with IT along the way.

Finding the building and the parking lot were fine, but entrance to the office wasn't clearly marked...two different business names. Nice cashier, but long wait time w/ only 1 customer ahead of us because she was the only person working.

The manager was rude beyond belief!!!! Another issue was that we Wanted to rent a van. A couple vans were in the lot but we were not able to find one. We started looking 3 weeks ago.

The truck was dirty, including trash and dirt in the cabin. It clearly was not cleaned or inspected between users. The parking break was defective. The employee was minimally helpful and he seemed annoyed and dismissive when I asked him about how to operate the vehicle. He suggested I go to a uhaul direct place instead of a subcontractor storage place if I wanted assistance with basic truck operations such as mirror use and parking break.

I have rented from U-haul a few times. One time I had a mishap that really was not my fault due to a construction site and the worker did not disregard what I was saying. He was very fair with me, which I thought was exceptional. This experience is right up there with that one. I really wish I would have paid more attention so I could have gotten the employees name. She was so personable. That is so rare. She wasn't the type that sounds like she has a rehearsed series of words that she spews at customers on a regular basis when they are there to rent a U-haul. She interacts with the customer and makes you feel special. I seriously mean this. I messed up with my reservation by choosing mobile. I didn't have a clue about that and will never do it again. I didn't think it was in regard to picking up the truck. Thank goodness she was there because she said come on I'll just take care of you. I felt bad because there were other people but she said, it's okay, that's what I'm here for. AWESOME! They have a real gem with her.

The person who helped us with the reservation basically forced me to get the insurance coverage. He was clearly stressed out, which then stressed out all the customers (there were 3 of us). He was most unpleasant and didn't even acknowledge us when we returned the truck/key as he was too busy leaving the office. Overall, this experience made moving way more stressful than it needed to be. He should be better trained in customer service. I would rather eat more miles and work with a different location than have to interact with him again.

truck was picked up with fuel tank reads 3/4, while marked 7/8 on the document. extra fuel fee was charged even truck was returned refilled with 7/8 fuel tank.
