You intentionally try to scare folks into buying your insurance. it is unclear the risk that is actually being taken because damage seems to be arbitrary and entirely at the discretion of the U-haul location. If that's not the case, then that is not well communicated, which is probably purposeful. As long as you engage in those tactics, you won't get 5 stars.

I rented the truck and was never given paperwork then they tried to charge me for miles that were on the truck and there were cig butts in the truck and i dont smoke the was the worst ever renting from uhual

My overall experience was not positive and had I known how much of a headache rental would be, I would have chosen a different company. Working in customer service, myself, I understand mistakes happen as we are all human, but it felt like one mishap after another with mulitple employees. My original reservation was cancelled due to the representative mistakenly reserving a truck for me that wasnt available. After that, the reservation was set up for in person pick up for a smaller truck but the location was closed on Sunday when i was supposed to pick the truck up. I was only able to rent a truck by driving to a location 20 miles away to pick up a truck on my moving day. The bright spot in all of this was representative, Shannon (I did not get her last name), she made sure the distant location indeed had the truck I needed and assisted me over the phone when i arrived to pick up the truck. She provided excellent customer service and made the day a little less stressful.

In North Platte, the U-Haul employees hooked up the trailer and made sure everything functioned properly. In Port Huron, The U-Haul employee directed me to where he wanted the trailer and left it totally to me to disconnect the very heavy trailer from my truck.


Covid slowed everything but overall good experience.

This was a bad experience for me I am being charged an extra $128 on top of the $115 that was taken off my thank card. What I thought I was paying for was a one-way trip to drop off/ the truck where I was unloading my furniture. They then informed me that I could not drop it off there that I was supposed to drop it off back at my destination that I picked it up from needless to say I was not happy I just moved down to that area and there was no reason for me to make a nether trip back up to Port Huron Michigan to drop off the vehicle but unfortunately I had to I had also filled the tank back up which was another $25 out of pocket when you people are charging me for a 3/4 of a tank that is so inaccurate that was my last stop was to the gas station then to drop it off I took pictures for my proof but yet you still charged me for 3/4 of a tank when it was a full tank so what should end up being a 55-mile one way trip turned out to be around 110 or so at $0.99 a mile. WOW I sure hope someone from corporate. See this and get back with me thank you for the very bad experience I don't believe I will ever do business with U-Haul again. We certainly had a miscommunication somewhere.

Everything was great but what would be a neat feature would be a dolly or hand truck holder near the back on the side. I am sure that would be difficult since there are so many sizes of carts but it would be cool.

Excellent Customer Service.... Found us a truck at the last minute. Trailer Tires should have been checked before we left the facility. The one trailer tire had low tire pressure and we had a blowout on the highway going 70 miles per hour but roadside assistance was great!

I did not select insurance and she added it while my husband was picking it up and the trailer smelled horrible. Not pleased with this location.

The handcart which is attached inside the truck could be relocated to the opposite side which already has a box attached on the floor. This provides a wider opening to allow wider loads to be loaded into it.


Keep up the awesome work y'all do over there especially the woman at the counter. She was very helpful and explained all the details in depth and did very well. Give her a raise for selling customer service

STARS ABOVE GIVEN TO LOCATION PICK UP OWNERS, ISSUES I HAVE ARE A UHAUL ISSUE. UHAUL SEEMS TO MAKE IT HARDER EVERY TIME A RENT A TRUCK TOO CONTINIUE TOO USE THEM. I RENT ON REGULAR BASIS . Made an online reservation 3 days prior for 9:00 AM pickup. Arrived 9: 05 am had completed pre check in 2 days prior. Location pickup had no clue of my reservation upon my arrival. Truck not ready. Had resevered 3 dozen blankets online. Told didn't have that many due to covid. Had to drive to another location to pickup more blankets. Driver side mirror loose,keep falling down ,could not see to change lanes! UHaul ' s system sucks. Location received email of my reservation 10 minutes after my arrival, delaying my departure and appointment times. Trucks air conditioning did not work on 90 degree humid day. Power steering quit working after 100 miles of travel to my destination, fluid leaking under engine area. Right rear tire hot and smell of burning rubber, Rear wheel bearing hub hot upon return to my drop off location. Driver window crank knob fell of when I went roll up window. Quite a stressful day due too all issues. Need to correct your issues from reservation system all the way too truck maintenance. I asked at pickup for newer truck sitting next too the one I was given. Was told that one was reserved for long haul one way, it was still sitting there when i returned my pos!
