Please check your mile when you get the car, I was cheated $60 for extra 40 miles I didn't drive. They under report their miles on the contract you sign so if you don't check it you will get ripped off. I also said I did not want insurance but they put it on anyway, another $15 I could have lost if I didn't catch it. This place runs shady business and watch for over charges. Will not rent again from here.

The location was just OK. The staff was a little confused and I had to wait while the staff sorted out my reservation. Otherwise all was good.

When I got there, the uHaul I ordered wasn't ready- the customer before me had not returned it yet. The guys working at the counter were nice and got my problem solved by giving me a slightly bigger truck for the price of the smaller truck since that's what I had ordered. This was my first time using uHaul and I was very happy with the process. Very impressive customer service!

Had trouble using the electronic return through my cell phone. Kept glitching on the location page even though location was enabled. Each glitch was identical: screen frozen, leaving me no choice but to close the browser, clear cache, and try again. After the 4th failure, I gave up, dropped the keys in the lock box, went home, and contacted a representative through the chat function of your website. Stephanie was a great help in getting the dheckin resolved.

The two gentleman that helped me in the morning were wonderful. I asked if it was necessary, could I keep the truck longer. They guaranteed me I could. When I called to let them know I needed it longer, the owners son informed us we had to bring it back or we would be charged. He was rude and not helpful at all. It was a horribly stressful experience trying to get back after being guaranteed a later drop off. It was false information and it really ruined our experience. He also gives the customer service a bad name. The men and women working at the actual location doing the grunt work were fantastic. The owner's son should not be answering phones!!!

Change the application process. That was atrocious. Why on earth do we need to give some lady on the phone in another state two references?! Definitely plan on being there for over half an hour even if you reserve online in advance.

I think a 30.00 fee for a fuel fill up fee plus 9.50 gas fee when it was less than than 1/16 tank is rediculas and I won’t use this store again

The van was covered in thick, thick bugs. The rep was downrslking the U-Haul app on the phone saying it was a “pain in the ass” I found it to be a great service.

Customer parking was tough as Street parking was pay to park and the business did not allow customer parking on site. I would have chosen another dealership if it hadn’t been so near my apartment, and I was able to get a ride

My conformation said my truck would be ready to pick-up at 7a.m. Wednesday morning. I arrives at 7:20 only to find out they don't open till 8a.m.. Even though there was an employee there, he said he was only a temp and the owner would be in at 8 a.m.. I ask him why he couldn't release my truck to me and he stated things were screwed up the night before and he didn't know what was going on and had zero authority to release my truck even though I had my reservation number with me. I ask him to call the owner, he did to find out he was running 20-30 minutes late and could not help me over the phone. Nor would the owner authorize to give me the key to my truck. The temp stated he had no key to the lock box, didn't know how to work the computer or help me in any manner. Once the owner finally arrived he had the temp get me the keys. The owner stated I needed my mobile phone which had the code, I had used my wife's email to secure the on-line reservation, which by the way states nothing about need the same mobile as your email account. The owner stated he had called or texted me the night before leaving instructions, I showed him my phone showing no call or text. He then said oh, must have been your wife's then, once home nothing as well on her phone. This major inconvenience and incompetcy caused me to be an hour an a half late for my movers, $180.00 an hour for two people. Thus ending up costing me an additional $105.00. On top of that, once I returned to the lot to return the truck, I was ticketed for over-time parking. This was clearly caused by the lateness of this u-haul dealer. I expect a full refund and credit to my bill.

Terrible location to return, and I'm being generous! I arrived at 1:30 PM on May 29. No one at location to check me in. I called number. I was told to park unit on street and put an hour's worth of money for parking meter!??! Now on my email confirmation of check in it states unit was returned today, May 30 at 10:30 AM. NOT Correct. I returned it yesterday, May 29. In addition, this location is very difficult to find and in a very sketchy part of Portland. Very dissatisfied with the check in location. Terrible!!

They made me sign the form showing the condition and existing damage to the truck without looking at it. I sign all the forms they hurriedly shoved in front on me as a line formed behind me and paid. We go outside, I assume to do the walk around, and they pull a truck forward that had been tucked back in and the corner of their lot, and hand me the keys to leave. Truck was in very poor shape, worst I have ever rented from uhaul in at least 10 moves between home and business. There were several existing “x” stickers on every surface of the truck. I get in the truck and realize they have overstated the existing gas in the truck by a little over 1/8th of a tank. Annoying, but whatever, as it’s already clear this is the least professional U-Haul location I’ve ever worked with. While parked on the street, a bicyclist clipped the lower mirror and the glass breaks. He stops, we looked up the replacement cost, and figuring it was going to be no more than a hundred bucks he apologizes and goes on his way. I broom swept the trucked, dropped the keys in the overnight box, and go on my way. The next morning, I get a statement showing the contract was closed and I was charged $70 for the mirror parts and labor. Okay, no big deal. Well, then the unprofessionalism really came. After closing the contract, an aggressive man named John calls and leaves a minute long voicemail exclaiming we need to talk, because I trashed the truck, ripped the seats, failed to clean it, and that he has photos, so I better not tell him it wasn’t me! Absurd, I recheck my statement, and confirm the receipt states “I have paid for equipment damages and am relieved of financial responsibility for the cost of equipment repairs.” No idea why this threatening and unprofessional man was calling and threatening me after I was charged for the true accidental mirror break, but knowing our contract was closed and my part had been done, I chose not to engage with this horrifically predatory and unprofessional uhaul location any further. Oh, and of course I even refilled the gas to the amount they falsely stated on the contract instead of what it was actually received at to boot! ** STEAR CLEAR OF VAN’S UHAUL AT ALL COSTS. **

I was told that I could drop off the UHaul at a location on the Portland Eastside. Was unable to reach anyone on the phone at UHaul on a Saturday - waited on the phone for a long time, then gave up. Then I found a location and drove there, saw one other UHaul van parked, but no information, or attendant contact etc. So I continued to the Quimby location. All was fine there. I rated above average rather than excellent because the location itself is noisy and in a rough sort of area of town. Okay, but not as comfortable as the Seattle location, which is why I rated a little lower.

When we picked up the truck it was dirty and messy. When I called to reserve the truck, the guy set the phone down and answered another phone call and helped them, I could hear the whole conversation. So I hung up. Finally got a call back.
