Drop off location was changed via text. When I went to the first location (2395 Tyler Rd Christiansburg VA which was a BP gas station) I spoke with the staff and was informed they did not know what to do because no one had trained them and they had just opened up the drop off business (3) days prior. I checked my Phone and found the second text telling me to go to 1501 Tyler Road. Upon arriving there the location appeared to be a vacant hotel parking lot. I used the app to do the return process and left the trailer. I would have preferred to drop the trailer off at an official U-Haul station that had U-haul employees and that was only 10 minutes from my destination. In stead I ended up 25 minutes out at a vacant hotel parking lot.

Unsafe vehicle. No staff present when vehicle was returned. Waited 30 minutes.
Phillip SIt wasn’t the location. The actually lady at the 800 number was completely rude. We booked a truck yesterday and was supposed to pick it up at 10am. We got there and they said the truck was not available at that location that we would have to go to another location and pick it up at 3pm and pay the extra mileage and wait. Then we were told a truck would be ready at 1pm at this location possibly that the lady that had reserved it had every right to have it until 10 pm. We reserved a truck and was supposed to have it at 10am today. What makes us any different?? The lady was rude and pretty much said you can get the one at the other location at 3pm pay the mileage different or wait and see if the other one is available at 1pm ok bye. That’s her exact words. Not only did we have to change plans… people that were going to help us move had to leave too because of the 3 hour difference in times we were supposed to originally have the truck. The location in Radford VA were great… the lady at the 800 phone number was very rude.
