Originally, I booked for a 29'-footer truck one way to Arizona and was even assured of a 2026 model year for this type of trucks. Whenever I would confirm with U-Haul about this truck, their customer service people would always give me the assurance of the same truck (no more or no less), until the day before pickup, I was informed that the 29'-footer trucks are not one way but in town only. They changed my truck reservation to a 26'-footer truck to go one way. This became an inconvenience because I could not fit everything in this smaller size truck and have to leave them in storage for another trip. As we were driving, the hood started to go up that covered half of the windshield. The latch to the hood came off two times. We did not want to take the risk of driving straight because it was late afternoon and slightly raining so we are forced to stay in an overnight hotel in Palm Desert. It was a very scary experience and could have been in an accident (my wife took a video of this incident). The brakes were so hard to push and does not brake completely, terrible. Do not lie to the customer if you cannot deliver good and honest service. I deserve to be credited back some for the inconvenience and unexpected extra cost incurred (hotel and a second trip for the things that did not fit in the 26'-footer truck. Had I been informed way in advance of this change, I would have rented from Penske Hertz. Terrible experience.

Ashar SI had a reservation for 8 am no one should up until 830 am and i didnt get out of there until 840am. That caused me to be late the rest of the day. I was supposed to get a $50 discount because my guarantee rental was not ready for me. I had no paperwork. The person behind the counter handed me keys. He was trying to get me out fast. Not happy
