I was frustrated with the online process. Seemed user friendly enough, however had difficulty on Uhaul end. Stated they were having tech issues try again later. Finally called Reidsville NC office. Gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me get the rental I needed. The day of pick up Uhaul online difficulties again. Gentleman stated website was not working properly. This seems to be a notable problem. He had to use a cellphone to enter our debit card number to complete the rental transaction. This was not a comfortable situation for us. Salesman assured us this was done frequently when there were technical issues with web site. It is obvious there is a problem with your computer online site both for your customers and your sales associates. Using a cellphone for card transactions is not a safe way to conduct business. Sales and other service was great otherwise.

The U-Haul 24-7 phone check in did not work very well. It informed me I was not at the rental location even though I was in the parking lot. The App finally worked when I was standing next to the office door and thank goodness the manager was there to process my rental so I could stop fighting with the U-Haul phone check in. Great customer service at this location.

I made my reservation online several weeks in advance. I called this location 3 days before my reservation date and the online personnel had not reserved my truck and none were available in the region. Tim at the Reidsville location has to reach out to them and fortunately were able to locate a truck(larger size) for me to use. This could have been a disaster if I had not been proactive to call in advance.

When I made the reservation I requested a 10' truck. I ended up with a 20' truck - same price - but I would have liked to have been consulted before the change and given the opportunity to explore other possibilities. For example, since we only needed a 10' truck, a customer service representative could have suggested a trailer if we had a way to tow it. This would have saved us some money and probably would have uavoided us having to drive an extra 30 miles to pick up the truck (also a change from our original pick-up location which was close to us).

I was not pleased with my rental experience or the amount billed. I reserved a 20 foot truck a week in advance and the morning of pick up they tell us they don't have the size truck I reserved or a truck at all. They sent me 30 minutes (one way) out of my way to pick up 26 feet truck. This put me with an extra expense paying the movers because of the added time. We also didn't feel uncomfortable driving this large of a truck but had no choice. Why should we be burdened with paying for the extra mileage? We also did not specifically ask for the moving blankets . Is there anything you're willing to do to make this experience better.
