I "reserved" the van that I wanted to use on Dec 1 about a week before. When I arrived I was told they had no vans and I was given a box truck. I had also "reserved" a furniture dolly and they also had none if those left and i was given an appliance hand truck. I picked the van due to it being something I can drive and also feel safe doing so. The box truck I was given was too big and the only place Icould drive it was to a location where it sat and acted as a cover from rain for my stuff until other arrangements were made. I moved no appliances so the dolly I was given was also useless to me. When I called to voice my complaints I was told the GM, a gentleman named Lance, would be who i need to speak to. He was not there when I finally was able to find someone to help me get the truck back. The nice girl at the desk said my contract would be placed on hold (I told her to not charge me for ANYTHING until I spoke to him) and that he would be in contact with me. I never heard from Lance, my card was charged 85 dollars for a truck that was useless to me along with the equipment in it. Tomorrow is December 12th and I am STILL trying to move my things due to the horrible service I was provided.

I am still waiting on receipt that was to be emailed to me. Also credit card has wrong charge amount pending and it is there twice. Trip was 10 miles less than original estimate.

I wish I had been aware that the holding deposit and the cost for rental/travel could have been separate. I currently have $150 tied up and only used about $50 worth of service. 5-7 days before credited back to my card.

It would be nice to have a full tank of gas...the passenger door didn't lock properly...had to get outside and push on it. Ease of check in/out and friendliness of staff were much appreciated!

Long line to pick up vehicle even though I chose to checkin earlier on line. Once I waited 20 minutes to speak w the U-Haul employee, the 10 foot truck “check engine light” was on so I couldn’t take the truck. I had to rent an even bigger truck which I did not want ( even though I was paying for the 10 ft truck). I just didn’t want to drive a bigger truck! Or wait in a line for “express service.”

We had to wait while they went through multiple trucks to find one that was suitable. They were very kind and I really appreciated that. The girl at the front was friendly and helpful. I just don't think everything was as collected as it could be. Very confusing and time consuming. The online process just made things worse too. Won't be doing that again.

The staff was friendly. Gas cap came off when I left. The windshield wiper blades were useless in the rain and wore out. Very dangerous.

Pickup of 5x8 trailer was as expected. Trailer was well worn, a little dusty inside. Lights a bit problematic but used because of time crunch. Consider using an electric leaf blower to clean (I did). Consider pressure washing then lubricating the roll up door.

The process for renting vehicles with a corporate account need approving. I had to reserve 6 vans on my credit card then when I came to pick up the vehicles I gave the owner my corporate reservation numbers but my vehicles were still charged to my credit card.

In the future, a warning would be appreciated of the activities in the city. There was a marathon in Richmond and because we did not know about it or know the city well, we ended using over an hour and a half getting across the street to get the van and re-connect with our ride.
