The location is easy to get to, but too crowded in a small space. Too many people and not enough employees. When I finally got to speak to an employee they were usually rude or dismissive. The folks who work inside in the air conditioning need to learn a lesson from the hard working guys outside who were actually caring and considerate despite running around in the heat. Most of my interactions with employees at the front desk were awkward and disappointing. There should be a welcoming vibe and willingness from the folks at the front desk to actually help the customer.

The line was long, but the service was excellent. Maybe in the mornings on weekends, a little more help at the counter. The employees were all pleasant and ver helpful both inside and outside.

Complaint: My contract was split so that I had to pickup the truck at a location and the auto transport at another location which was only a mile away. This should not be! It caused great delay and difficulty getting on my way. Why can't U-Haul make sure all equipment is at the same location? I received a new truck which I appreciated for my one-way long distance move. The location could not handle a 26' truck with an auto transport leaving the facility.

Don't over charge me when I have a picture of the gas tank. Such a shady business practice to make money. The truck was also beat to crap every side had some kind of ding and scratch

Equipment leaked and we didn't know it until we were in Kentucky. Equipment needs to be better inspected.

Outstanding service and superb facility!

Would be helpful to know the height of the vehicle at the time of departure. I did not have any problems related to this, but would have been helpful to know in case.

Assist Mgr went above & beyond to rector situation caused by another Uhaul supplier. She was very courteous and got me back on the road with a working trailer.

Third timed I've used the Lombardy U-Haul location while moving my daughter between apartments in Richmond. The staff are professional and the facility is well maintained. I plan to use this location for all my future Richmond-based U-Haul needs.

Went to three locations before I could get a car dolly. Second location checked computer for availability. Why wasn't this offered to me at first location. And to have only one Dolly available at three locations is sort of poor

The equiptment we ordered was not the equiptment we received, even though we reserved weeks in advance. Customer service at pick up was terrible, with the exception of the gentleman who helped us load our car onto the trailer, and employees seemed confused and put off about questions we had about our contract. During our trip across the country, we were notified we needed to change our drop off location, and when we called later to ask about dropping off a day later than we initially stated (with over 24-hour notice, and because of car trouble), we were told there would be no extra charge and our drop off date would simply be changed in the system. We were then charged extra regardless. The equiptment was in decent shape, but did not seem safe, as parts of the van were loose and falling apart. Some exterior pieces were even simply taped together. We spoke to numerous employees both in person and on the phone who could not answer our inquiries or who seemed annoyed we had questions at all. Additionally, we ordered a dolly and moving blankets and paid for them, and they were forgotten by staff. On moving day, we had to make multiple trips to the Uhaul across town to simply receive items we'd ordered far in advance.

You need more parking for personal vehicles. There was no parking at all. The truck had some sticky substances inside the cab. The staff seemed very rushed and spread thin, making me feel very lost in the whole process on how to obtain the vehicle.

When I arrived, the truck I had requested had not yet been returned to the store. They offered a larger truck, but I opted for a smaller one instead, which meant I should have paid $6 less than the price for the larger truck. The woman helping me accidentally added $6 instead. It took several phone calls to resolve this mistake, although in the end I was credited $25 for the hassle.

I have rented two storage lockers, one at a time, over about 3 decades, at the Lombardy Street U-Haul location. They've been very handy, but my father is gone, and with him, his retirement income that paid the $150/month for my 10' x 10' climate-controlled space. I'm actually happy that we were able to help fund the new, much-improved, elevator for the main warehouse building. The old elevator could be hogged on any one floor by another customer simply not closing the elevator doors. Countless times, I've had to climb the stairs to each floor, and walk about 30 feet, until I could see, around support pillars, if the elevator was left open on that floor. And I think the climate control is better now, too. But I can no longer afford to pay you, so I cleared out and moved everything into the basement of some friends. They charge 33% less for 500% more space (that they weren't using). I'll miss your friendly staff, including the manager, Mr. Lalonde. I hope I spelled his name correctly.

Sales Representative needs to do there job upon coming in the following morning. I bought back a Truck and my Contract was not modified upon 12hrs later. I don't understand the hold up upon my change

Make sure the Cashiers are trained to speak slowly so the customer can hear and have a more pleasant attitude. The cashier girl was very cold and spoke so fast as if she was bothered; when she was just smiling and laughing with the customers in front of me.
