We did experience delays in the processing of contract and card reader. All due to the system. Employee hand to manually input some steps due to this. Employee was great , very professional and helpful.

The U-Haul we were assigned had tons of pet hair in it. It needed to be vacuumed out prior to us receiving. Had we been allergic to pet hair this would have been a real problem.

The location that I picked up was not the originally scheduled location. I was supposed to pick up in Rowlett but was called and told that I need to pickup in Garland. When I went to Garland at my pick up time they did not have my trailer. Garland could not help me find another trailer and I had to call UHaul myself to find a trailer. This was a huge inconvenience and I will never use UHaul again for any services... the customer service that Garland displayed was completely unprofessional.

Best customer service I have had in a very long time!!! All the ladies I spoke with was n the phone and in person were incredibly helpful and fun to interact with. My plans changed for pick up time because of a pet emergency and they called to confirm I would still need the truck and assisted my drop off check in when my phone was dead!!!! Will definitely refer friends and use again when I need to!!!!!

The only problem I had was trying to unlock the lift gate on the truck. The lock used was very hard to turn. I had to ask assistance from the employee at U-Haul to open it.

The rental experience itself was absolutely miserable! I rented on a Sunday knowing the location would be closed for pickup and was told if I had any issues picking it up. I was supposed to pick the truck up at 10 am. It is what they didn't tell me and technical problems with the website the delays began to mount. My first call to Uhaul was a neverending wait which I was simply told that I needed to set up an account with my reservation number and it would prompt me from there. Wrong.. it was then approximately 11:15 or so..I decided to use the chat forum rather than wait on hold forever. Again not prompt, they informed me that I needed to check the 24/7 , ok no problem but I had 1 more question? But they had promptly ended the chat session before I could ask ! I went back into my account page and checked 24/7 pick up.. it said due to technical difficulties we are unable to complete your request, try again in a few minutes. After trying for about 30 minutes with no success, I grudgingly went back into the chat forum. They were like " Oh no that can take a while to fix." (At this point I feel just a bit irritated ) They proceed to tell me that I need to call 24/7 Dispatch! After another long hold time and past 12 noon, they tell me that they know what the problem is and proceeded to help me ( leaving out "many" issues that were involved in this process & the reason for 24/7 is to be able to pick up my rental when the location is closed ) . Now another error message stating " Wait for the location to open to be hand delivered " he had to get his manager involved ( another 15 minutes) We are just about finished and I ask what time will my rental be due back as it was now 12:44 pm and the original agreement had been 10am almost 3 hours later he said I changed it to 12:30 .. too beyond agrivated to argue that I didn't even have the keys yet. I just wanted to retrieve them and leave. If that wasn't bad enough, when I returned the rental about 10 minutes early I sat and talked with the lady about the experience I had on the rental. When she printed out my receipt it had charged me for an additional day.. Uhaul's policy is that if the rental is " 45 SECONDS LATE" they charge you for an additional day! The man at 24/7 told me 12:30 but in fact it was 12:24 . Thank goodness I returned it 10 minutes early and we had sat there and talked before she put it in the computer and the fact the fact they have cameras. I will say the truck was new and they have a great selection. But Buyer Be Warned! I don't know that I would rent again when the location is closed. Absolutely a MISERABLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!

The Passenger side front corner was missing a bolt, where the side and front come together. Also the ratchets for the straps where rusty and hard to use, I had to grease them up so i could use them. Everything else was great.

the online rtn/check in was a nightmare. Needs to have a "Thank you for returning..." msg when completed. I had to call several times & on hold >45 mins the last time. No big deal, but would be much better if some type of confirmation popped up. Thank you.
