There needs to be a sign either in the cab or in great big letters at the top of the contract that if you turn on the ignition and close the door, the door will lock. At 7:30 Saturday morning, the rental office was not open yet. The contract was in the cab, so I had no access to instructions. I called AAA, and they came, but they weren't allowed to unlock it because it is a commercial vehicle. They WERE allowed to unlock it if we paid them $75, so that is what we did. We weren't happy about that and would appreciate a refund. I will pursue this with Uhaul administration. But if I weren't a AAA member, I have no idea what we would have done. Other renters might not be so lucky.
Alexander M.Tanisha was available and very helpful at pickup, though the facility was actually closed (which I knew in advance). The U-Haul website for pickup is difficult. Would be nice to have a text with the link available and a simplified process. An App might be helpful. Just way too many steps in that process after going through so many to reserve in the first place.
