There was sticky residue inside the truck, dirty outside, and it gave me an error message after only driving it maybe 10 miles. Plus the staff at the location was rude. The location hours were posted open until 6 PM. I got there at 5:40 and the woman was in the office looking at me talking to me on the phone but would not come out and help me. Instead, she made me do the entire transaction on the app. And said the U-Haul portion of the business was closed at 5:30.

Customer service needs a complete overhaul. Horrible communication. No clear hours of operation and lunch breaks. Employee communication is rude and incomplete. We were left hanging during our pick up of truck with no employee on sight-took over an hour. Then when we dropped off the truck employee communication was inconsistent and insufficient-they left us to sit and wait over 55 minutes, while they took other calls, ignored us at the counter and just completely refused to acknowledge our existence. Apparently, the customer on the phone was way too important to even put on hold for 30 seconds to give us an update as to what was going on with our issue. During the drop off fiasco we finally decided to contact corporate and got hooked up with Alyssa Brown. She was an angel sent from heaven. Listened to what my husband and I had been through, apologized for our frustrations and what we just went through and even stated that is not the customer service they wish to provide. She stated that if we had photos of mileage and the equipment we returned she would be able to have the ticket closed out. We indeed had those photos. We thanked her for helping us. We emailed the photos over to her email address she provided us and low an behold a little while later we had a closed out order. She stated how she could help us and it in fact happened. That is how it supposed to work. She needs a raise!

Jenny FAn hour before my rental I called U-Haul when I realized I made the reservation for the wrong location. Sarah was able to reroute me to the correct location and change the reservation and ensured it was a 24/7 pickup since the location wasn’t set to be open until an hour after our pickup time. Sarah went above and beyond and made what was a stressful moving day seamless
