Truck had weak steering. Tow light was on, to put in reverse it goes to neutral first then you have to put in reverse .

JR MThe truck smelled like cigarettes, was very old and the ignition took 4-6 tries to start! The franchise owner failed to leave key for mobile order then was late arriving then served other convenience store customers before me (although I was waiting for two hours). He took his time and checking me in and asked me 3 times if I wanted to add damage insurance (after I told him it was already purchased). He seemed uninterested in responding dong to my questions like which truck was mine, just waving and telling me the number was on the key. Because it was a holiday weekend the delay his errors and disinterest caused me to get stuck in traffic for a five hour drive (with that traffic was 6.5 hours). I have rented trucks in 3 continents and this was by far the worst experience. I will never use U-Haul again and plan to tell friends/clients/social media followers to avoid it as well!
Mary MTruck was leaking gas and cost twice as much to use in fuel as the last truck (same size)
