I made reservation over the phone for a truck and appliance dolly at the Hershberger (Airport) location. The day before the reservation, they called to ask me if I would cut my reservation short, so they could rent the truck to another family before my scheduled return time. I told them I would try. When I arrived Saturday morning, they did not have the truck I reserved. They said I could either go to Franklin Road to get a 26" truck (much larger than I needed) or to Salem to get a 15" truck (smaller than my reserved truck). I ended up driving to Salem to get a truck. However, when I got there, the appliance dolly that I had reserved was not there. I had to go back to the Hershberger location to get a dolly. I told the gentleman at the Salem location that I intended to return the truck to my original rental location, Hershberger Road, and he said that would be fine. At this point, i was at least two-and-a-half hours late getting started on my move, which I had limited time to complete. When I was finished, I returned the truck to the Hershberger Road location, but was told by the unpleasant associate there that I cannot return the truck to that location, and that if I did, I would be charged a $700 fee. I asked him if I could speak with the manager, and he gave me a card and told me I was welcome to call. The manager did not answer his mobile phone. I asked the associate if he could call, and he texted the manager and told me the manager wrote back and told me to call again. I called several more times, but no answer. In the end, I had the rental truck I needed and barely got moved in time. My rental was not discounted, and, in fact, I ended up paying more than I would have otherwise, because I now had to pay for additional miles and gas because I was sent to a location that was farther away. For what it's worth, the associate told me that just because someone reserves equipment from U-Haul, and even has a confirmed reservation, it does not mean that there will be equipment for them to rent. I thought this sounded odd, so I confirmed with him that I understand it correctly, and he acknowledged that I do.

I can tell you the gentleman who was running the store tried very hard to help us and understood how frustrated we were. However, I do not know if I could recommend this location, because the person he needed to get help from would not answer his phone or call him back in the over two hours we spent trying to return the box truck and trailer.

Check-in took a while, even though I had pre-checked in on-line. Attendant appeared to be still familiarizing himself with the system (which did look cumbersome).

It appeared the attendant did not know how to make a contract. The truck was dirty. There was nothing for me to sign. Since the printer was not working I could not get a hard copy of the contract.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with U Haul! I waited an hour and a half to get the truck and had to call U Haul myself while waiting because the man at the counter couldn't pull my order up properly. I'd already chosen the $14 insurance online and he was trying to charge me 4 times that amount. We finally figured out that he entered my info in the system wrong and chose the wrong date. When I went to return the truck, he kept making me wait so that he could do other things such as ring up customers paying for gas, or other things and count his Coca Cola delivery and sign papers for the Coke driver although I was there prior to his arrival. It was very unorganized and unprofessional.

Took over an hour To pickup truck and then it was less than half full gas,Mileage not listed, I left not very sure how much my bill should have been!?? Highly dissappointed

It seems like u-haul is only another way to make money. They are better at selling pizza than helping rental costumers. Their personal computer to complete transaction took 30 min to boot up and start transaction. They did not know the difference between a 4x8 and a 5x8 trailer. Watched as I hooked trailer.

This is the best place that I could have went I only paid 39.95 for 24 hours I only paid 53.63 it is the best price and no deposit recommended to everyone call them they are amazing

they couldn't find keys and the quick check in sucks i still had to wait and do paperwork again i better not get charged twice for this or shits gonna fly.
