Misleading / Fraudulent promises -- Received call on Saturday, 11/3 requesting that I change turn in location (from Boerne to San Antonio) for a discounted fee and additional mileage, but did not receive discount - in fact received additional charge due to issue from on pads from Alamosa Building Supply.

I drove nine miles in total use of the truck for my move. I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel as when I checked it out. I was charged a three gallon gasoline charge for driving less than ten total miles. I’d never recommend this business to anyone. I emailed the business directly and still haven’t heard back for a disputed gasoline charge. I should have figured out the was going to be a shady business transaction when I returned the truck and no one ever inspected it while I was there. Unprofessional and ripping customers off.

When we picked up the truck, there were piles of dirt in the back. We swept some of it out so our stuff wouldn't get dirty, but then the woman tried to make us sweep out the rest before she would accept it back.

Truck was cleaned before we returned it. I told the attendant that when I dropped it off. Was told that receipt would be mailed. When I received it, there was a $25 cleaning fee! Fortunately, UHaul customer service immediately refunded the fee through Live Chat on their website. This location was obviously just trying to make a few extra, unearned, bucks.

Upon arrival to pick up U-Haul truck order (a month in advance) . I was told that the size I ordered was not available since someone had it checked out until the following day. I was offered a smaller size truck (which was too small). I requested bigger since I needed the full length originally requested. I was told if I wanted the bigger truck I would have to pay a higher rate. This is ridiculous when it was U-Hauls mistake for reserving trucks that are not even available. After wasting 45 minutes there (having expensive movers waiting) I finally got offered the regular rate with no discount for the inconvenience . will never come back to this location.

Insane amount of hidden costs. Do not market the U-Haul as a $19.95 rental with a few other costs at the point of purchase and then add a ton of extra costs after use. If anyone in their right mind knew about extra costs being added after the use of the U-Haul nobody would go through with the rental.

The representative was kind of unprofessional. I had concerns about existing damage to the truck rental (which was not explained at all to me) so the rep. looked at the truck with me and had me hold her clip board and put stickers on hard to reach places for her. I'm a gentleman so I went along with it, but it is unprofessional to have a customer do a job that the rep. should be able to do on her own. The check-out process was also extremely slow.

I informed them I needed the truck for the day, when I returned later that day they said I was late and was charged $50.00. I noticed the extra charge labeled as cleaning. I ask her to remove this charge she said no she could not do. Went to drop off truck, and was not informed that the gas mileage was supposedly below the amount that we received it, (1/4 tank). I have a picture showing that we left it on 1/4 and was accepted my the representative that examined the truck. He did not mention to us that it was below the 1/4 tank, so we assumed everything was fine. Then I received a 45$ bill the next day because the gas was lower then a 1/4 tank. This is very disappointing because I have always used UHAUL in the past and have always been satisfied with there trucks and service.

Better training for personnel. They did not advise that the blankets and dolly were not in the truck but had to be picked up manually. Did not find out until store was closed and furniture was damaged due to this. Also did not record that truck was returned in time.
