Great experience at this location. The associate Lupita was professional, prompt, handled the equipment and explained all required paperwork very smoothly. I even made a mistake w the size of truck I actually needed- I called and by the time I came back, she rewrote my contract and reparked the truck for an easy exit out of the lot. Such a great experience because of her!

Hi, I recently rented a U-Hual and everything went smoothly until I went to refill the gas tank right before returning it. When I received the truck the fuel gauge said it was full. I only drove it about 6 and a half miles so I expected to have to put at most a gallon in. Instead it took 9.61 gallons to fill the truck up as you can see in the attached receipt. The staff at the rental location admitted something was wrong but they were unable or unwilling to help me address it. I hope you can help me resolve this issue.

1) they did not secure the vehicle properly to the trailer; Redding staff identified a 3 - 4 inch gap in the straps; 2) they listed the wrong trailer which was discovered upon return; 3) they weren't readily available when I returned that afternoon; I waited approximately 15 minutes.

It was a very nice Uhaul place and wonderful personnel, the only issue is the location. It has a very steep driveway and no parking, even on the street. We had to park in the turn lane to wait for another renter to come out of the space before we could drive in and drop off, but other than that...all good.

First, I'm told this location called me to advise that they were the ones with my reserved truck, instead of the preferred location I chose (Ballpark Storage, which on looks and name alone is far superior in my book). They did not leave a voicemail, so I showed up to Ballpark and was sent away to this location (side note that the employee there was very helpful and friendly and apologetic for the inconvenience that wasn't even his fault). Upon arrival, Mexico Express was dark, disorganized, had way too many chairs sitting out for the amount of business they must get, slightly resembled the garden section of a Walmart, and only had one person working behind the counter (the female owner). She took FOREVER with the person in front of me. When she finally finished and took me, she kept walking back to her office (which had no light in it, kinda weird) and was yelling questions at me from there. I couldn't even see her! Somehow she disappeared and the male owner came out to finish the transaction. He gave me the keys, moved trucks around to let us out, and the rest went smoothly. But maybe lets work on our customer service (not leaving a voicemail, really?) and clean up the office space. Like REALLY clean it up.

It takes to long to get assisted. Then, when I opened the back of the fifteen feet truck which I rented, it moved all the way, it was very difficult to get it down.

The check was a bit slow and I wasn't really sure what they were doing in the office that late but other than that the move went well. They checked the truck and gas and walked to the back and looked in the truck which is when I mentioned that "Oh by the way there wasn't the blankets I ordered." Then the guy said well were are they...as if I would steal 6 dirty moving blankets! I tried to explain that they weren't in the back of the truck...and he said well it says on your contract that they were ordered. This kind of was frustrating because I was only pointing this out to them, I really didn't care about a $5 charge for blankets and my movers had a lot of their own supplies so it didn't matter. The guy then had me walked back to the truck and asked me to check the gas. I filled the gas 1 block away to the mid point but this shop is on a very steep 65 degree angle. So of course now that I mention an error all of a sudden my gas needle is slightly below the mid point. He then wanted me to park it another way to prove that the gas was showing off due to the super steep hill. It was $5 for the blankets and I really didn't feel like remarking that huge truck on a busy street that didn't have anywhere to park anyway! Bit of a lack of customer service so I'll save the hassles and probably go somewhere else next time.

The miles out read 65044.8. The paperwork said 65041 miles. I pointed this out during inspection, but was still charged for those 4 miles.

While convenient to my needs, there was no one there when I arrived, and I had to call someone and wait for them to come unlock. The location in downtown SanDiego is sketchy, so I felt a bit unsafe after being dropped off by myself.

I had the worst experience of my life. I rented a car trailer it started making weird noises after I loaded it up with my vehicle. Something Told Me Not to get on the freeway so I took the streets and then the brakes locked up. I called for roadside assistance they came out and took the tire off and all of the brake components fell out. I check the brake fluid level and it was dry and I notice there was grease on my car from the brakes. I asked to have a new trailer brought out to me but they could not or just would not do it. Mind you I have a classic car I just restored on this trailer. I was told I had to drive it to another location without brakes to trade it in. I wasted a lot of time and was very stressed and upset about the whole situation. The only good thing is when I got to the new location the employees at that location we're very helpful.

Ensure that the miles requested are added to the account and also have all requested items ready for the appropriate use. I was charged twice due to clerk error and has been four days without reimbursement. An extremely horrible experience prior to our move. Would NOT recommend this location to anyone do they don't go through the same experience as me. Call me I want to speak to an upper management person. 951-692-1771

When I arrived to pick up the 20 foot truck I was told they did not have one. I reserved a week before and actually called to ask why I was unable to pick it up at my original location and no said anything about not having it. I was offered a small trailer which was unsatisfactory. Communications is key and U-Haul has none.

Mt Alvarado did not check the truck to see if there was damage. Also stated the gas was over half tank and it clearly was not. Horrible customer service. I will not be back.

Lets talk about poor customer service… I ordered a truck to take my stuff from San Diego to Phoenix. The first truck that was given to me the transmission went out 10 minutes and the driving. I called U-Haul roadside assistance and they offered to have a service person come out and look at the truck. Which they did, and they deemed it unfit to drive. Leaving me to completely unpack the Truck. Next a tow truck came to take away the broken U-Haul, and I had to go to another U-Haul and get a new U-Haul. Then completely re-load the U-Haul. What should have been a half-day project turned into a full day nightmare. And then upon arriving in Phoenix , The movers that I paid for decided not to show up. Leaving me alone to unload a 15 foot Uhaul. I what's told by U-Haul but I couldn't start a claim until the truck was returned. I returned the truck this morning (8/19) and call customer service st and call customer service back Emma started a claim his ticket that would be resolved in three business days. I will never use any of their services again because everything that I pay for has not work in the customer service has been abysmal.

Horrible Customer Service. Unable to handle return. Customer Service Personnel seemed unable to manage location logistics. Staff did not seem trained by U-Haul Coporate.
