I rented a 5x8 trailer. The gentleman at the desk ask if I wanted insurance. I declined. He said OK & asked me to sign for it on his phone, with no indication it would be more than the advertised $25 cost for rental. After returning the trailer, I got the final receipt by email after I left his shop showing the advertised rental fee plus an extra $8 for insurance. I never agreed to the $8 and is redundant to the coverage I already carry. This is the 2nd time a U-Haul place stuck me with unexpected insurance charges to pad the bill.

Nothing! Manager was efficient and pleasant and had the equipment ready and in good shape. He even was looking out for us by recommending that we video the truck before leaving, to avoid any argument. Very pleased and satisfied!
RICHARD DWe were originally set to pick up the rental in Chisago City - I received a call where they told me I had to drive an hour away to Stillwater to pick up the U-Haul. It was inconvenient but I was given a couple of free days as an exchange. When I got to the pickup location in Stillwater, nobody was there and we had to wait 45-60 minutes to get the keys to our rental, which was missing the dolly we ordered. Overall, would not recommend.
Chelsea GGreat service! Friendly and accommodating! good location! accessible after hours, too! The truck was pretty beat up, a lot of body nicks and dings and aged. and the interior was really dirty! and smelly. the truck just seemed old and worn out...probably beyond the mileage that you would typically pull it off the line.
