I don't have a complaint!! Lisa was very knowledgeable and very helpful!! We ran into snags on our end from people not showing up to get items they were to pick up and had to use more miles than expected.. however we were advised prior, by Lisa, how that would work so we weren't surprised!!

$.99 a mile was a higher price than I had expected to pay. Admittedly I had not researched the price prior to renting the truck. I think since there is already a rental fee, plus the customer has to replace the gas, that the mileage rate could be cheaper.



When I picked up the truck, I did the remote pick up. It would have been much easier if I would have know what to expect with this whole process. Also, the truck gas gauge was BELOW EMPTY meaning I had to stop for gas before even starting my move. This was extremely frustrating especially after going through the pick up process blindly. When I returned the truck it went pretty smooth until I got to the end and it tried to charge twice for gas. After clicking the button about not understanding charges, I received a message saying someone would contact me within 48 hours. I was NEVER contacted and received my receipt of payment with the correct charges about 5 days after the rental. In the end, I was charged correctly and the truck worked great, but the communication from U-haul is terrible in my opinion.

The truck wasn’t clean, and the agent didn’t do a walk through when I picked up the truck. There was an issue with me getting a paper contract because the customer that was there before me had a issue and agent said that my contract was bringing emailed to me but it never showed.

Lisa was very understanding with the frustration I expressed given my negative experience with U-Haul Operations and scheduling truck and car-carrier at separate locations as mentioned in this survey. She too apologized, but my negative perception still rests with U-Haul Customer Service and Operations. Consider delivering equipment to the SAME location. Don't make another customer run around all over creation to RENT your equipment. It seems to me it would have been pretty easy to have a U-Haul person at Aurora drive one of your own trucks to the Batavia location and bring the car-carrier back so I could have rented from one location. I was provided a truck where the ramp did not pull out. I was disappointed because it made moving heavy objects more difficult. We did not notice this problem until we had gotten to the pick-up site. It appears that the staff did not know or simply did not tell me this was a problem. To improve service please make sure that customers get what they paid for i.e. working ramp.

Location great, trailer is crap design. Largest uhaul trailer made, doesn't come with ramps. Too low for a standard refrigerator to fit standing up. Too narrow for standard couch or bed to fit across. No tongue dolly so two strong people needed to attach/detach-seniors can't rent this. Last uhaul trailer I'll rent, it was useless and we spent the day wondering what idiot actually designed that thing.

Location was satisfactory. The people that I dealt with on the contract were unresponsive, didn't care, and I believe I wound up paying $100 more than I should have. I accommodated U-Haul on 2 different issues, and was promised a rate that was NOT honored after I arrived to pick up the truck. Subsequent attempts to talk to management was ignored, and why should they?? I had already paid the high price and they didn't want to change it to where it should be.. OR at least talk to me.
