They messed up prices just by adding a hand truck

I had this unit reserved and it was rented out to someone else, either off the books or with no documentation as the owner said that the guy who came in offered his girlfriend's license and then attempted to pay with a credit card that was rejected. Terrible service. The owner simply gave me cash for my rental, charged my credit card for the rental anyway, left the reservation in my name, dispatched the auto transport trailer in my name, and now I receive the review because it is still in my name. The owner offered me a phone number to another location, but offered no other consolation or help in finding a trailer to use. This set me behind for at least a 1/2 day of work, since I had to wait until the next morning and secure another unit at a different location. I have made at least 3 contacts to the U-Haul corporate office and am still waiting an answer and a final resolution to this problem.

Absolutely appalled at additional charges on my bill. Did not keep truck 3 days. Called 800 number for Uhaul to return and received no help allegedly closed!!! Drop off was not confirmed, but had the UNIT for ONLY 3 HOURS. Absolute travesty!!! I have always used UHAUL equipment and NEVER been over billed like this before. SOOOOO disappointed!!!! You list this as Statesville when in actuality it is in Olin. You also need to change some of the locations listed online where a truck can be returned--it is very inaccurate.

I would like to recognize Cindy at Tomlin Mill One Stop as an exceptional employee of U-Haul. We rented a car trailer with truck. Before we arrived home to pack truck, the trailer tire caught fire. It seems that your computer system needs upgraded and more user friendly. The card machine at this location does not work well or it is the operator system is not working properly. Use of and return of the trailer was fine.

I am not sure if I would recommend or not, I could not get any returned calls, out of about 10 calls left voice message no returned calls, I wanted to use a credit card the lady say cash was easier, I gave 100.00 in cash. When I returned the truck no one was there. I ask that the refund money be return be mailed to me. That never happened. I called back several times and no return call. 2 weeks later I went back to NC as I live 4 hours away from there. Was told my refund was in an envelope. I went in the lady took the money out of the register. calls should be returned and refunds should be made in a timely manner.



This was overall my poorest experience with U-haul. These locations mentioned above did a great job with customer service and equipment however, I went to get my rental from another location prior to picking up at 1025 Tomlin Mill Rd, Statesville, NC. The original location was not customer friendly and they are the reason why I had to find a different location to pick up from. They did not make the rental experience welcoming. Basically insinuating that I was not going to return the vehicle. Days prior to the pick up, I contacted scheduling only to wait on hold for 2.5 - 3 hours to find out that the scheduling department was closed for the day. I expressed all of this and more to the U haul customer service representative and they have filed a formal complaint. I am requesting a full refund for the rental. Again, this was the worst experience I have had as a long term customer. I have been a customer of U haul for at least 5 years.

Person who handled uhaul wasn’t there for scheduled pick up, trainee was confused and lost. Damage to truck not noted, gas less than recorded, charged for equipment they didn’t have and when I asked for a refund the lady in charge “was doing paperwork and couldn’t be bothered”. 2 hours for pick up. Ridiculous and horrible customer service.
