Albert was very helpful. I will use American self storage directly rather than using the Uhaul hotline. The hotline put me in a real lurch, however again, Albert was able to fix/correct my reservation and I was well upon my way. This place should be avoided at all costs.I had a 10am pickup. The appliance dolly I reserved wasn't there.The truck was filthy and had less than a quarter tank of gas in it. The people inside said that it had been returned late so they couldn't fill it up.It was 10am and there is a gas station a quarter of a mile away. They weren't doing anything when I arrived so that excuse doesn't cut it. They couldn't figure out who I was although I did the online Express check in. They told me my credit card was rejected by the bank but eventually figured out that they were entering the information incorrectly. The guy spent his whole time on the phone pretending he was trying to "locate" an appliance dolly. When I got back they tried to say I had returned the truck empty even though the gauge showed more in the tank than when I picked the truck up. I told them I took a picture of the guage because I figured they'd try something stupid like that. Eventually, the woman went out and said yes it has a quarter of a tank. The guy was so brain dead he couldn't tell the difference between the quarter mark and the empty mark(red). The truck itself had bad brakes and a transmission that downshifted abruptly which damaged some of my stuff. When I asked for a receipt they told me that they din't know how to print it. I did hear them discussing whether the record on screen was me or someone else. These guys are total bozos. The U-Haul system seems to arbitrarily choose where you are supposed to pickup a truck and has no idea what other supplies are available. Avoid the Charter Way place at all costs. Don't use the online reservation system. It's a frigging joke. Use the phone and call around. Try Budget or Penske. You're much better off.

You need to let people know on the tutorial not to use the decimal point for mileage. It was very frustrating for a first timer like me. 25 minuets holding for customer service. The lady I spoke with was very helpful and handled my situation professionally and courteously.

If you send a customer to a location other than the one they originally ordered to pick up from you should automatically compensate them for going out of their way. I had a terrible experience with U-Haul
