Worst U-Haul experience ever! We arrived to drop off the ruck on 6/17 at 3:20pm... and the website says they are open until 4:00pm. Nobody was there. We tried to use the U-Haul app to return the truck, but the "Orders" page would not load. Tried for over an hour and kept getting an error on the app. Other customers were there and had the same issue. We called the Support line and we were told to just lock up the truck and put the keys into the drop box, and she would annotate this on our contract. Went by on 6/18 as the app was now working but showed our order as still "active". Again, nobody was there during posted business hours. Went by again the morning of 6/19 and tried to use the app return to get our order closed. That finally worked... but we could not provide a photo of the odometer as the truck was locked up per previous instructions from U-Haul support. And of course, still nobody there. Based on our experience, and the multiple reviews I see on the U-Haul website stating the same issues, I would strongly recommend that U-Haul corporate take action with the operators of this location.

I went online and completed the entire registration process prior to the day of the rental so that I could reserve the truck and have assurance that it would be there. I set up the reservation for 3:45 on a Friday so that I could have a person assist me with the rental. Took off work early and made arrangements so that the checkout would be quick and easy. I arrived at 3:40 and the office was already closed. I had to call customer service and change my reservation to an online pickup, which limited my rental time. Because there was nobody there, I also couldn't check to see that the dolly I had paid extra to rent, had actually been in the truck. Of course it wasn't in there either. If I had known the office was going to be closed, I would have reserved it for literally any other time in the day (after work) and that way I could have actually used the truck past 3:45 on sunday. VERY DISPLEASED. Also don't see anywhere to request a refund for the dolly I rented or go through the process of getting a refund for the mileage I didn't use due to the restricted time frame I had. Yay automated services! Reduced overhead so the customer can get shafted in other ways! Congrats UHaul- you're almost on the same level as Greyhound.
Erika PIt took 3 tries to reach someone on the phone though we were there during listed hours. Once reached, the owner was very accommodating.
