Honestly the place was very dirty when walking into it not very welcoming. The person who assisted me was very rude and was clearly in a rush to leave. I showed up at 9:45AM and they closed at 10:00AM. When I walked in this gentleman was leaving and he yelled to someone in the back (yelled in my ear I might add) to get their ass to the front to help someone. He disappeared and came back 5 minutes later and said no one came. I said no he said give me your ID and credit card. Confused I asked if he worked there and he said what do you think? Well I don't know you left and now are coming back I don't read minds. He brought back the contract and I asked for clarification on one item and he gave me a snarky remark and told me it would be handled after I return the truck. Overall very shitty experience there and I wont return!

When I got there the store was closed and I had to wait and eventually found a sign saying to go to the store beside them and look for G! Once I finally found the guy it was a very long and wrong process in so many levels. I had to first sign the contract and receive the car without even seeing the vehicle then drive to another location( it was not a walking distance), find the vehicle by myself and go. I was very late by the time I got the car. The fact that the office is in another location and you have to sign the paperwork without knowing what you're receiving was very uncomfortable. The car cabin was very dirty and on the highway when I tried to clean the window figured out there is no window washer fluid and it was very dangerous driving with low visibility specially at this time of year. I had to park and use my water bottle to clean the window!!! This situation is definitely not acceptable. To be honest this was bar far the poorest experience I have ever had. Absolutely disappointed...

Ramp did not work!! Made the whole moving experience almost impossible and even dangerous at times. The facility was under par and the actual trucks are not on location! Plus I was not allowed to leave the truck at another location close to me so I had to pay extra for mileage just to return the truck. I have put a call in to the owners about the broken ramp and poor service. I expect something to be done about this. I have trusted Uhaul and used the services in past with much satisfaction and this was awful.

Our entire experience with U-haul was awful. Between two of us we were coordinating two moves into one household. Tim rented his truck on Dec 27th with a return date of Dec 28. He was told that Aurora didn't have a 26 foot truck available so he had to go to Bradford to get one. When we got there the truck hadn't been cleared of snow and wouldn't start. After 45 mins of them trying to boost it we called and we were told we could get a 26 foot truck from Aurora so we went there and got it. Things were good from there on. Bonnie was moving from Pickering to Aurora on Jan 13 and booked a 26 foot truck from Aurora. On Jan 11th she got a call that the the truck was going in for service and they didn't have another 26 foot truck available in the area. She called the East area and booked a 26 foot truck at Warden and the 401. When Tim got there Saturday morning the truck hadn't been returned. They tried calling the guy who rented it the night before but were unable to reach him. We managed to get another truck at Weston Rd and the 401. We were told that we would get a $50 credit which is going on Bonnie's account as she booked the truck, however, Tim's card was used to pay for the truck as he was the driver. We hired movers to help with the move and paid them by the hour and because of all this wasted time the movers got there and the truck wasn't there yet. When Tim arrived with the truck the ramp couldn't go in place because of a bent bracket. We had to have someone crawl under the truck with a hammer and wack the bracket until the ramp could be put in place. Moving is stressful/costly enough without these additional issues. We feel the $50 credit isn't sufficient enough to compensate for problems this has caused and we would appreciated someone responding ASAP. Tim and Bonnie 416-574-8322.

No help from staff to hook up trailer offered, where other locations do it for you. Trailer had burnt out tail lights.

I have booked for 10' truck which was to be charged at 0.69 $ / Km but I took Cargo van which is 0.49$ / Km and I was charged with 0.69$ / Km can you revert that...

The staff (gray hair, around 50-year-old) is very helpful and responsive. I couldn't find the nod to release the parking brake, then he arrived at the U-haul parking lot in less than 3 minutes after I called him. (the parking lot has some distance from the rental office and he had to drive there)

Truck needed sweeping, and lacked dolly and furniture pads. Also, the gas tank was empty enough that the instrument panel warned "45 miles to E" (Empty) at startup. I drove it 8 feet to turn out of the pickup location onto the street, and the warning became 44 miles. Not a problem for me in this case, but it may in many cases prevent a customer from choosing a gas station, as opposed to using the first handy one. This pickup location was so crowded there was no safe/courteous to others place to park/wait in our car to sign out the rental van!

Even after online check-in, still spent 45 minutes at the pickup location. The pickup location equipment storage site was over a mile away from the office. The rates they charged wear different than what I was quoted, even after showing them the receipt, they had no way of adjusting it at that time. The light connection was crushed, the trailer Inside was dirty with piles of sand in the corners. The lights on the trailer required constant attention and only work intermittently.

Funky smells always make me weary to use the van to move personal belongings, otherwise easy and convenient. Good people at the admin. Very expensive on the gas and the millage is only 50km before they up the price.

The attendant that assisted us with our pickup was very rude in general. The computer to check us in was not working, so he was communicating with a uhaul representative over the phone. He automatically charged us for insurance without asking, and had to reverse the charges after the fact when we said we didn't wish to purchase it. The whole process to check in took over an hour. In addition, he wrote down all of our credit card information (including the security code) and would not destroy it in front of us as he believed he may need it later. This is a breach of our privacy, and I will be following up with Uhaul on this.

Trailer hitch in rough shape needs attention. Spent a lot of time fussing with assembly to be get it to mount on ball.



I have an order confirmation for a 26' moving van. When I arrived at 10 AM to pick up this van, I was given a small cargo van instead, and told that nothing else was available. This cause enormous inconvenience to me for my move yesterday, and I am extremely dissatisfied with this service.

I was charged as I drove 60 miles when I actually drove 4 miles. I sent an email about it, and I have not received any answer so far.



The van was new and ran well but smelled like farm animal was transported in it(literally - I used to work on a farm so I know this smell)



The truck was extremely dirty and smell like urine and overall just smelled horrible. Please ensure best to your ability the vehicles are clean

After driving to the location that we were told to drop the truck off there was no parking for the truck. It was also after hours so we were not able to ask where the truck should be left. Luckily someone from the area told us about the parking lot for the truck - which was well over a km away from the location given. We were also double charged for insurance - once at either end (pick up and delivery).

I made a reservation on a 26” truck and when I got there it was not available and the last truck was given away just before me so I had to settle for a shorter truck 15” which then made me have to multiple runs which caused me to get over charged for km’s . And I got charged the same flat fee as the 26”. I feel I should get discounted the km due to the inconvenience this caused me and the agents in the store were not very professional.
