Cab was filthy and engine light came on by the end of my trip. My biggest complaint however was the blankets and dolly that was left in the vehicle getting in the way and taking up cargo room. When I ordered the vehicle I was asked if I needed those add ons and I had turned them down.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkCustomer service was good. There was an issue with the U-haul site so things were a little slow. The whole interaction was outdoors, I didn't notice an office or a building of any sort, it was send lot full of trucks. I can't imagine having to pick up a truck in the rain or snow. There were a few hiccups as the truck we received was registered to somebody else but the attendant cleared it all up quickly and seamlessly. I'm visually impaired and when I and they were great helping me out as navigating the system is a little difficult.

Tony RWhen I arrived to pick up the truck, I had originally been assigned a different vehicle. However, the employee at the location told me that the assigned truck was going to Alberta and provided me with another truck instead. Before leaving the location, I noticed that the brake pedal felt unusually soft. I specifically raised this concern with the employee and asked whether the brakes were okay. I was told that “it’s okay for a truck like this.” Based on that reassurance, I proceeded with the rental. I loaded the truck approximately 500 metres from the pickup location. When I subsequently drove the truck toward my storage facility in Brampton, I had to use the highway. At that point, I experienced significant concerns with the vehicle: The truck was vibrating noticeably, particularly while driving at highway speeds. Braking felt difficult and concerning, especially given that I had already raised the issue of the soft brake pedal before leaving. The overall driving experience made both myself and my passenger feel unsafe and anxious for the entire trip. I did not feel that the vehicle was operating in a condition that should have been considered safe for highway use. Additionally, I noticed an illuminated brake-related warning light on the dashboard during the trip. Given that I had already reported that the brake pedal felt unusually soft before leaving the pickup location, seeing a brake-related warning indicator further increased my concern about the safety and condition of the vehicle. I have photographs of the dashboard showing the warning light, which I can provide if required. Already lodged a complaint but no reply after initial dispute number.
