Many thanks to the customer service people. I changed my p/u date more than once. Each time they were kind and understanding. The people at the actual site were prepared and ready with the right equipment. They whisked me thru paperwork and they go me into the truck and trailer I needed. Y’all need to really look at the customer service and security aspect of your 1190 S Main St. location in Manteca, CA. I waited for over 45 min just to find out the the trick that I was supposed to rent somehow had the battery stolen out of it the night prior. To me this is unacceptable as the customer. I spent 8 years in the Marines and one of the most important things we ever did be fore stepping out in a mission was pre combat checks and pre combat inspections to ensure that all our gear was functioning properly and we would have no issues. This store has none of these qualities and it is very disturbing that this is apparently a reoccurring issue and no one has thought to implement private security at this premises. I happen to manage a high profile account for a very large security company and would be more than happy to get you any information you’d like on possibly obtaining security at your location in Manteca. As far as the site in Tracy, they are on par. No complaints whatsoever.

I reserved my uhaul 2 months prior to need date. The day before I was suppose to pick it up Uhaul called and said they do not have the trailer I reserved. But they had a smaller one. I moved across country and Needed the 6X12 I ordered. I ended up having to drive an entire day to go pick up in a different area. In which the wheels needs greased We Paid For that! The Brakes Locked up on Freeway! I think Uhaul should refund my credit card for the stress and money I had to spend on their uhaul!!

Customer service with regards to integrity would be an area to revisit. Having a more honest approach to your product availability and your rental placement when assisting clients would be fair and appreciated. Putting clients into larger, more expensive trucks when its obvious you have availability is totally uncalled for and creates increased costs at an already challenging time in peoples lives.

The corporation U Haul gave me some very wrong info but they guys at Mini Storage fixed the problem Corporate created and THEN THEY SAVED ME MONEY!!!! They we're very helpful and I will recommend to anyone.

U-Haul company needs to inspect and be timely about fixing their equipment. Evidently, this particular van had a crack in the windshield that was waiting for you all to come fix it. I don't like driving my vehicles like that, but I needed it. Also, tire pressure was low, but that wasn't that big of a deal. The staff was very helpful and professional, so there was nothing I could say bad about that experience.

Tracy Mini Storage was fine with my rental. My problems are not with them. I reserved a 15’ truck online for 12/25/17 to 12/27/17 as a self-service pick up. The reservation was made online on 12/07/17. I even watched the videos to learn how to pick up and drop off using my phone. I selected to pick up the truck at Van’s Ace Hardware in Tracy, and drop it of at a location in Manteca. The option to pick up and drop off the truck by using the U-Haul app/website seemed convenient. However, on 12/24/17 I received a phone call saying that my reservation could not be honored because U-Haul would be closed on 12/25/17, even though I reserved a truck to be picked up without the need for U-Haul to be open. I was told my only option was to pick the truck up on 12/24/17 (a day early) AND I would be forced to pay for the extra day. In addition, I was also told that I would be REQUIRED to pick up and return the truck to Tracy Mini Storage instead of the locations that I selected online. What is even worse is that I was then forced to pay for another additional day, extend the rental now to 12/28/17, because I would not be allowed to drop it off in Manteca as requested by using the self-service feature. So my reserved 3 day rental was forced into a 5 day rental, which I was then forced to pay for even though U-haul is to blame. Although Tracy Mini Storage was great, my experience with U-haul and whoever it was the ruined my reservation was beyond disappointing. It’s bad enough I had to move out of my home on Christmas Day due to my lease, but to be forced to deal with U-haul’s mess up on Christmas Eve was such a stressful and frustrating experience that could have been avoided if my reservation was honored and I was allowed to use the self-service pick up like I requested online. If self service pick up was not going to be available on 12/25, then I should have been notified immediately after my reservation was made. Hopefully no one else has to deal with a situation like this with U-Haul in the future.

I think no matter what the gas says on the gauge, if the mileage is only twice that of the mpg of the vehicle then "adding" fuel is futile and being charged for fuel is a ripoff. There should be an option if you drive X miles and under then no fuel charges will be applied.
