We received the same excellent service when renting the trailer that we have come to expect from Ace Hardware.

I was involved in a fender bender with my UHAUL trailer and it was NOT my fault. I did not purchase the insurance so I had to pay for the damage on the spot at return. At the time I rented the trailer, it was explained that I was responsible for damage but it was NOT explained that it was my responsibility even if it was NOT my fault. This needs to be explained fully to the renter in the future. Now I'm having to fight with the insurance company to get reimbursed. Bad experience.

The truck was rented for a one way move. I informed the person at the rental place that I was moving to a location of a distance of over 250 miles from the site I rented. Plus the construction and the distance to obtain said items from 2 storage units and was only given 250 miles of distance to work with. So of course mileage was over and cost me an extra 40 cents a mile.

it was quick and easy.

I rented a car dolly, and it had fiberglass fenders on each side. Not far into my trip I saw one of the fenders had become broken on the front and had swung up because of the wind so it was pointing up in the air. The fender on the other side was almost completely cracked through on the front and was close to doing the same thing. We had to tape the broken side down so it wouldn't hit the car we were towing. This is a serious manufacturing issue, and those fiberglass fenders should be replaced.

They were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

The lady that started to check me in was very rude. She said she had to charge me $22.50 because there wasn't enough gas in it. The truck was park on a down hill slope. Which make the gas gauge read different then on level ground. She would not move the truck to level ground. I told her that I had put 9 gallons of gas in it. I went 107 miles which is 11.9 miles per gal. When I got the truck in the morning I as the guy who was doing the paper work if the truck got 12 miles to the gallon. He said 14 -15. I will tell all my friends if they rent a truck don't put any gas in it if they go over 100 miles just pay the 22.50. Trucks should be full when you get it and full when you bring it back.

That when uhaul gives you a total over the phone, That when you pick up your rental its not a different charge. Its like buying a car. disappointed in that aspect.

The U-haul representative refused to reimburse me for the unopened, unused package of moving pads.

Everything went well. There were a couple of electrical issues that had to be resolved, and the personnel were very knowledgeable and helped take care of them.

Have everybody be like the helpful people at Ace Hardware in Traverse City who helped us with our rental! They were great and helped us tremendously by substituting at the last minute for originally reserved equipment that did not meet our dimension needs due to space taken up by wheel wells (not evident from the dimensions posted on line). Thank you thank you thank for saving our whole plan.

Brian could've been a little more nicer. Not friendly and very short when I asked a question.

The rental went smoothly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The truck handled well. I was vey happy with the entire process, start to finish.

Yes, there are UHaul vehicles all over the parking lot, and I knew the ACE Hardware was the contact, but having clear signage on the hardware building showing UHaul was handled here would have been nice. I also went to "the wrong counter" initially. Not a big deal, but would be nice to have it an entirely smooth experience.

The woman that checked me in was more than helpful, and very pleasant to deal with. When I returned the trailer to the store it was cold and snowing outside. The woman put on a pair of gloves, told me to meet her outside and she would direct me to where she wanted it parked. After checking the lights on the trailer she had me leave the trailer right where I had parked it. Than she unhooked the safety chains, light connection, and physically removed the trailer from the hitch for me. What a woman!! This is the type of pleasant service everyone needs to adopt. She could not have been more helpful. You made my day . . . . . Thanks!

I've rented from this location in the past always with good results. This last time I tried renting a cargo van expecting a van similar to one shown on the website but ended up with a GMC Savannah, which made loading the item I needed more difficult due to higher floor height and different door clearance. The van was dirty all around with what looked like fur in the inside. The steering wheel was off center and felt like it had a slight pull to the right which was not fun since I had to drive a few hours in freezing rain. Overall it got the job done, but if I knew it would not be a transit style van like the one I thought I was getting based on the site pics, I would've looked elsewhere.

We paid upfront for a utility dolly and a furniture dolly, however during checkin we were not told that we needed to take them from inside the store. We assumed they were already in the truck since I had made the reservation a week in advance so we left and didn’t realize they weren’t there until we began loading the truck. They did refund our money, which helped. Also, the truck was 1/8 less in gas when returned and we were charged $15 which seems outrageous.

They got the wrong trailer ready at pick up. It was frozen to the ground and had to wait. Then a light went out in the back. The straps to secure the car down was so frayed that I couldn’t tie the one end down. Ashley at drop off was very quick and helpful.
