How U-Haul Reviews WorkI drove less than 40 miles in the U-Haul truck. The employee at the counter told me to return it with ¼ tank of gas. Before dropping it off, I added four gallons for $18.43, bringing the gauge to ¼ tank. I was then charged another $20.80 for gas. When I asked about it, an employee acknowledged that I returned the truck at ¼ tank but said it needed to be “just over ¼.” I followed the instruction I was given, so the additional charge was frustrating. Spending $39.23 on gas for less than 40 miles is unreasonable.
