My original pickup location was not available and I was sent to a not-so-great location; the truck was parked in a cumbersome spot, on a slant. And I had a heck of a time getting it out of the spot, a wheel was in the air and just kept spinning. The self check-in process is slow and every step took me 2-3 tries. It took me a good 20 minutes. The site was very slow. Not all of the equipment I rented was there! And when I called to report the missing equipment I got a “sorry, we’ll credit you for the missing equipment” and when I expressed my frustrations the CSR hung up on me! I called a local nearby U-Haul dealer MYSELF to ask about renting just the missing equipment because, as I said, the CSR hung up on me. It cost me an additional hour of time to drive there and get the equipment. The return process was just as frustrating; it took me at least 20 minutes to self- return, the site was slow, and glitchy, AND I WAS CHARGED ADDITIONAL MILEAGE seemingly because I had to drive to the other U-Haul location to pick up the equipment! Overall an awful experience, I definitely should have been COMPED that additional mileage, and if I ever need to use a U-Haul again, I’ll definitely not be utilizing the self services.

JORGE GNOT HAPPY! X @#$%^&! I scheduled a pick up for a 15' truck at the U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer, 1874 Western Ave, Albany, NY. The day before the pick-up, I was informed that no truck was available at that location. New location was at 30 Corning Street, Albany, NY. as I pull into that location, the POS dispatcher informs me there is no truck available at that location either. No kidding as I'm sitting in the parking lot. He tells me there is a truck available in Troy NY at Essentials Towing. I shouldn't have to chase down a truck! Linda at Essentials was amazing! Great customer service, friendly and understanding.
