The reason I rated them below average is when they attach the trailer to the hitch they did not realize the hitch was upside down and it did not matter what I did or how I loaded the trailer the trailer hitch pointed down, I drove from Tulsa Oklahoma to Tallahassee Florida before somebody stopped and told me you know if you flip that hitch around and put the ball on top the trailer will pull level and the brakes would work, this gentleman just so happen to work at a hitch shop right down the road from where I had stopped so I went down there in five minutes they fix the problem my last 400 miles was a dream pulling the trailer the first 900 miles I constantly worried about the nose the trailer digging into the road. Not good

I scheduled the truck for a "half day" run across town. I have been using this location for years. I got Full insurance to expedite the pickup and drop off (no need to check every dent). I was not happy to see the tank was half full - as this means a refilling guessing game at the pump. The guy told me to "just sign the contract." I asked to talk to the owner. I confirmed with the owner "Jim" that he has been renting trucks for 20 years with only a quarter tank full. imberresing. They said if I did not refill it, they would (and charge me). My question then - why would a tank ever be less than full. This should be a best practice for a service company. For the conduct of both the personnel, I will make sure to discrace this shop with similar posts.

1) called this morning and asked that someone call me once the trailer we reserved was ready to be picked up. No one ever called. And when I was frustrated about that, the GM said he didn't look at contracts until a customer called, so he wouldn't have seen the note. 2) even though the electrical on our Bronco worked a month ago, the adapter wouldn't work. The GM jammed the adapter in and bent the pins, so now it really doesn't work. When my husband asked if the GM or the other worker could help him fix the electrical, the GM said no that he couldn't be tied up with a customer that long. All in all pretty lousy service, and we didn't get to deliver a Christmas gift.

Let people return equipment 15 minutes late without a full 2 hour late fee. Things came up and I had to be late. Will go somewhere else next time. A woman was the one who told me all of this. Customer service should be a priority. 15 minutes is nothing like half a day...

U-Haul Contract 23538348. I called the local office where I picked up the truck at 2:48 yesterday and explained that I was going to need to make a 2nd trip to Tulsa from Oklahoma city which would exceed my 125 mile limit. I asked if there was any type of package deal where I could save some money because .40 per mile was a lot and would exceed my budget. I was transferred to the 1-800 customer service number and then transferred to scheduling. I spoke with a gentleman who said "These things happen " he then said he would give me 100 free miles. I said thanks and then said that would still put me out about 150 miles. He said he would give me 200 free miles. I thanked him, we discussed I would likely be over 50 miles, he said that was $20, said cool. Then I asked if he noted the account. He said yes, I said wait, I never gave you my name, he said he looked it up by my phone number. I thanked him again and disconnected. I told my boyfriend problem solved, explained what happened and we finished moving. Today we cleaned out the front and back of the truck (swept it even!), filled it up and took it back. We were 30 minutes late but considering getting the truck took 30 minutes I wasn't worried. When I turned it in I was told there was no notes about free miles and I went over and was being charged. I admit I got angry and was not nice but I had been moving for 2 days, hadn't showered, didn't know where my toothbrush was, had barely any sleep and was not in the mood. I called the 1800 number, got transferred and was told again, no notes about my call. I called the local office in okc, got transferred to 1800 number, got transferred to scheduling, got transferred to a supervisor. Her name was Christine. I explained the situation. She advised she would pull all calls from my number and review. She advised free miles are against policy so if it did happen (like I made this crazy story up!) then the person who offered the free miles would be reprimanded. I commented that is sad, the person who tried to help me would get in trouble while the person being rude to my face would not. She said he might have been being nice to me but not to uhaul. Newsflash, I am the paying custmer. Shouldn't I be the one who your emploees SHOULD be nice to?!? I have used uhaul before, I was plannin to use uhaul again in a week when we move my boyfriends apt here in tulsa to our rent house And I would use uhaul again in a year when we buy a home. If $65 is worth losing a loyal customer and getting bad reviews anywhere I can think to put them that is as sad as reprimanding an employee for helping a customer! And I might add it is highly unprofessional for the supervisor to even tell me that. I sincerely hope this is fixed. And one more thing, the supervisor said she would call me back after listening to the calls and I did NOT get a call back.

I was told I would get refunded for Sunday if I had the trailer back Saturday night and brought it back but could not get it off my hitch (apparently I was lifting hard enough idk anywhom brought back as soon as they opened for help and am still being charged not really fair so based on that I will not be recommending uhaul to my friends especially after the hassle I went through to get it all w another location .... but the process of o training the rental was pleasant and the man helping was very nice

There seems to be poor connectivity between various websites of U-Haul. Only 1 of my 3 reservations made on line showed up in my account. I had to call an 800 number to find out that the other two were valid, but one of those was then reassigned without notice to me

As mentioned on previous rentals - Uhaul should offer a disc for military or sr. This is not much for the business and speaks volumes to the customers.

The agent at checkout needs to be informative of truck's physical condition and immediate need-to-knows of signed contract. Most customers take the signed contract as if the paper is blank; this location therefore needs to demonstrate initiative at rental-checkout by ensuring customers are given verbal highlites of their signed contract.
