Freeway U-Haul was great. U-Haul customer service agent was a crook. He tried to tell me that Freeway did not have the van I wanted. When I refused to drive half way across town to another location, he cancelled my reservation. Freeway did have the van I requested.

We were very happy with the truck rental. Everything was done very quickly and efficiently. Staff was very friendly and the location was convenient being close to our home. We will definitely rent from this location again!

Change the oil in the van so it’s not constantly giving warnings. Don’t push the extra services and insurance so much. Try smiling once in a while with your customers. Damage walk around was very inconsistent. Some damages had little stickers, others did not. The u-haul guy made it seem like it was a gamble as to whether he would claim pre-existing damages when I return the van. Left me with a very bad taste, enough that it will be the last time I go to this location.

I was apprehensive after reading the reviews, however my personal experience was very pleasing... The price was very fair, the service friendly and efficient, and the car worked excellently. Good A.C., good gas mileage, and overall no negatives to say...i understand that it finds vehicles sometimes further then where you request...i was fortunate the new location was close to my home...i can see that being difficult and unpredictable for others...overall my experience was pleasant, but others reviews are also something to keep in consideration. Lorne was very friendly! Cheers

The pickup / drop off service was depressing. Low personality bummer interaction with condescending attitude and rude hookup. Felt like me being there renting equipment was a hassle to the staff.

I rented a 9' van to bring some Ikea purchases home for a day yesterday. The staff was efficient and informative. We did a thorough check for damage around the van as I had chosen to not use the $15 insurance option and was very careful when I was driving. The van was clean and I had no troubles operating it. By bill came in promptly this morning and it looks accurate with no unexpected charges. I would definitely recommend using this location of UHaul again! Thank you for your great help

there were two trailer avialable at the time of pick up , a new trailer and an older trailer . the attendant moved the new trailer out of the way so I could hook up to the old trailor .Why would he not given me the new trailer ! We tested the lites after hook up all were OK .While hauling my vehicle with trailer we experience sever swaying from the trailer with the car loaded on the trailer . Pulled over and found one tire almost flat18 psi in tire, now we had to find gas station to fill tire After tire was filled with 50 psi air pressure trailer handled OK . Later that nite when we used lites trailer lites did not work ! . Why would the attendant not hook me up to the newer trailer! instead he gave me equipment that was old rusty and in poor safety condition I was not impressed . Second time with U Haul and have had bad experience

There was nothing particularly wrong with this location other than the fact that the trailer wasn't actually swept out. No huge deal, I swept it myself and the swept it afterwards as well so that it would be clean for the next person. However I had a huge problem with my U-Haul experience overall, because from the moment I made my reservation through the U-Haul website I got it in this runaround. I had to call customer service for or five times spent several hours on the phone just to confirm that I would my trailer would be on site and available in the size I wanted at the place I had booked through the website. None of the phone customer service agents would take any responsibility for ensuring that my very simple need to confirm my reservation was met. I was returned to the phone queue several times until I finally escalated to a manager who is able to resolve my problem quickly and without sending me on to someone else. If I can avoid in the future, I will never rent from U-Haul again.

It's not fair to have trucks for rent that are quite a ways east of Vancouver proper. I made my reservation for close to downtown, but was put to this location 10km east of downtown the day before the rental. With our van, that was an extra $12 round trip to the rental location, plus gas.

The vehicle was clean and the location was convenient for us but the person who helped us was unfortunately not friendly. When I asked him how much the total was, he didn't wanna tell me. I insisted ( because I "always" want to know how much I pay "before" I pay), he said I would receive the receipt in few minutes. I said, I don't want to receipt right now, I want to know how much do I need to pay. He refused and he also told me that he can't remember all the numbers that he charges ( I was the only customer there), and he told me again that I was going to receive by email the receipt. That's not the point. Anyone knows that customers have the right to know how much they are getting charged. He didn't give me any info on the invoice. I noticed while I was leaving there was a fuel charge for $10. He told me I was below ( I did buy gas right before getting there for $10, I still have the receipt), and I drove only 40 km with a van. I think it was a reasonable amount, maybe $1 or $2 dollar less or more but not additional $10.92. Even though I like the vehicle and close location, I will try to avoid that person who works there.
