Totally screwed up my reservation

Owner had NO IDEA how to do the checkout. He then put a hold on my charge, AND asked me to pay cash in full up front. I basically did my own checkout, hooked up the trailer, and tested the lights on my own. I delivered it back about 1 hour late and was charged for a full additional day as well.

This was an awful experience and I actually walked out and tried contacting uhaul directly because the person was extremely rude and incompetent. No idea how to use the system and was there almost an hour.

Adel was completely incompetent. He needs retraining, assuming he ever did received training. He could not accomplish anything and caused us a 45 minute delay. It would have been much longer if we hadn't contacted UHaul by phone. They were able to take care of things remotely. I will never use this location again! It was frustrating.

Location did not have all the proper equipment needed. Because of this I had to go to a third location. The first location I had booked the truck from no longer partnered with U-Haul. U-Haul changed my pick up location on my reservation with out telling me. I was not a happy camper at all on pick up day. The lady I spoke to on the phone twice (Maria) was very kind and helpful. She was the only reason you kept my business on this trip.

The person handling the order did not speak English well and I had to guess at what he was saying most of the time. He was the only person in the gas station so he had to constantly stop helping me to help customers coming in. He did not ask about any of the options during the process and I had to make him start the entire process over because he added insurance I did not want. His internet connection was so terrible he had to reload and restart the process a few times. The entire experience left me feeling very nervous of who exactly has my credit card number now, I am sure his computer was loaded with virus' I will be watching my CC statements in the near future. It was all very sketchy and I wouldn't step near that place again. These complaints have nothing to do with U-Haul, the service, truck etc, but solely with the location I rented from, if he is just a franchisee I would get rid of him.

The attendant had no idea what he was doing. Fortunately there were two gentlemen there who had an idea of how to attach unit to our truck. At that it wasn't done fully and a good thing my husband had the smarts to make sure because the ball was not secured on the hitch correctly. Do not send any customers to this location.

Not Vernon location fault. But I made a reservation and got an email back confirming the location I selected in Bolton, Ct. Called and confirmed the day before pickup.. When I arrived, they did not even rent U-Haul's any longer! It was a big oversight by U-Haul. And completely different from "they didn't have the equipment I needed" Avoidable problem that agitated me as a customer. Also, when I called the 800 number to address it, the first Customer Service Rep hung up on me. Although I was not being abusive or using foul language. Another big no no.
