Location did not have knowledge of our vehicle arriving, because we had not done anything to make them aware. Did not know procedure but was led to believe the starting location had made info available to drop off location. Apparently not. Felt that this location was upset with us upon our arrival. Apparently something was missed in this instance as we were greeted with "who are you" and "we didn't expect any vehicle". It took drop off location about 10 minutes to get our information into their computer to process. We had filled to 1/2 tank at Exxon in west end (2.6 miles from Pinnacle Storage). I had driver check gas gage 2nd time while in center office and still 1/2 tank. I asked counter person if they need check and do I pay difference in allowed miles (74) and we went 77.8 making us over by 3.4 miles or $3.40. Counter person stated no I would receive charged invoice in email. When I got the invoice, it stated that tank was at 3/8 full so we were charged an additional $19.12 for 5 gallons and tax on it. If they checked during turn in this would have been rectified before checked in. Don't understand how 1/2 full at gas station and 3/8 full at drop of location.
