We had an unexpected snow this weekend, and the truck had no winter tires. The date for switch to winters was October 1. While it doesn't refect on the centre poorly, as I understand trucks can come from anywhere, It could have been a really terrible situation for us b/c we live at the top of a steep hill... Thanks! Warn them that they may have to drive over an hour to pick up a trailer as I booked a trailer to pick up in Quesnel. No one warned me that I might have to drive 2.5 hours to pick up a trailer. Soured my opinion of Uhaul. Will look into Budget next time.

I reserved a 15' truck when I arrived I was given a 26' !! The biggest in the fleet..!!! She said that was the only truck available....I spent nearly 200 dollars in fuel.!!! 345 for rental to move 3 hours...!! You do the math....:(

One thing that definitely needs improvement is the way the gas used is determined. It is very difficult to get it even close--let alone replace pretty much the amount of gas which the customer uses! Why not do the full tank at pick up and full tank upon return? As was done in the past?

Check your rental units after repair, as the one we were going to rents had lights worked on, and repair facility forced door up so far that it was jammed. We ended up taking a different unit

I ordered the truck for Prince George. I was told the only available truck was in Williams Lake .... 240km away (oneway). Took 6 hours for me and my wife to drive there and back just to get the truck. The WL staff were nice but the Uhaul line didn't care at all that i had to go that much out of myway. I still have not seen my $50 refund for Uhaul not being in PG. Will have to chase that now. Poor customer service.

Allow after hours pick-up so customer doesn't have to pay for extra time or an extra day because the office is closed. Especially if the customer has previous rental history with U-Haul.

One front tire worn, was worried all the way thru the trip. Plus having to pick up the truck, two and half hours away was not pleasant. Sure they allowed more miles but the inconvenience was too much. Should hire drivers to move trucks to locations that require them.

my wife and I were ordered fire evacuated from the Kleena Kleene wildfire in early August, and between road closures and medical emergency for my wife, ordering a truck, canceling a truck at least three times, these ladies done whatever to help us with cheerfulness and friendship, and they themselves were fire evacuated from Williams Lake for a time, there is nothing you can improve on with that attitude and dedication from the heart, god bless and always protect these wonderful, wonderful people.

This time dealing with U-haul was very distressing. So I get to the location in Williams Lake BC. The reception was pleasant, I hook up the equipment to my vehicle, all ready to go, then come inside the office to finish up paper work, and the computer has me Red Flagged. So after contacting the U-Haul head office on the phone, I was told that I had an outstanding bill, $536.96, from 2014. After hearing about the location and date, I remember the story. So I split up with my girlfriend at the time, I come home and find another guy, I head to U-Haul to get a trailer, I sign up a contract and pay my money, I hook the trailer up to the truck, and the phone rings, it's her, we have some choice words, and the whole time the U-Haul lady is standing beside the truck, I then decide I am not leaving, I am not moving, so I get out of the truck, disconnect the trailer, which hasn't left it's parking spot, and go get my money back for the U-Haul lady. She said no problem, no harm done. I didn't even leave the property of U-Haul with the trailer. I leave, life goes on. So here I am fast forward 3 years, and now you say I rented a trailer for an extra 5 days, and dropped it off at a different location than what was intended. So 3 years, not one phone call, no email, nothing. no contact from U-Haul asking for money. I have been a loyal U-Haul consumer for over 25 years. Not one issue. So after being on the phone for over 2 hours being transferred from one office to the next with the assurance that I would get some resolution in all this, nothing. Told I would have to wait 3 business days for a call back. Thanks. And I am out $536.96. Which I really need to start over in Powell River. That's a lot of money to be handing over for clearly a paperwork mistake on U-Hauls side. At this office in Athabasca AB in April of 2014, there was no computer system, it was a side room with loose paper on the table. I am looking forward to clearing this up and moving forward, and receiving a full refund for this mistake. Thank you
