Had originally ordered my uhaul at Roosevelt location but the truck was not there when we got there so they sent us to agway to get one...no compensation for the inconvenience just an apology!! Was very irritated!!

There was an apparent bug in the reservation system that would not allow the staff to rent me the truck without collision protection. Two staff members tried to resolve the problem, but were unsuccessful. I assured them I didn't care about the additional $10, but the issue slowed down the checkout process. I do not fault the business for the issue - it appeared to be a software glitch.

West York Agway is the last place I ever wanna rent from. So I have rented trailers many many times before mostly at Roosevelt Ave store in York PA. No the under dale young and Chrissy Lynch my wife. Well we needed at trailer again on sat Sept 3 and wanted to pick it up sept 2 later in the day. So I call Roosevelt Ave to see if they had the trailer I needed and they didn't but found one at West York Agway,which I knew was going to be a problem right away since I felt with them once in the past, side story I waited around for an hour so the owner could take his son step by step on the uhaul process, and in the meantime take my time up while not honoring my military discount Roosevelt always gives me. So back to long story I figured there would be a lag but had to book with Agway anyway and my wife works up the road so figured it would work out. So I booked with uhaul scheduler and then called Agway personally. I talked to a sales rep Tom who didn't wanna be on the phone in the first place and asked him very very nicely to verify trailer was physically on lot and if he could do anything possible to make process smooth and quick for my wife when she came from work to pick up. I explained she would be in a super rush as she needed to get to the bank to pay rent or we would incur a charge. Tom unpleasantly snarled and said yeah trailer is here. I asked if it was out front and easy to get to and he said yeah and hung up the phone. Long story short it took my wife from 5pm to 540pm to get trailer hooked and leave Agway with no other customers in store and owner there think his name is Rob might be wrong on that. And the hold up was Tom not knowing what he was doing on computer or intentionally taking his time to the point where the owner of Agway asked what he was doing. This is all per my wife. So we return the trailer and I figure I'll go in and find out what went wrong. Tom and the owner were both there and they had another young sales rep go outside to unhook. I politely chatted with the owner for about ten mins then began to wonder what I was doing the and asked to pay and leave. Owner informed me that we were waiting on young sales person to come back in about 20 mins went by and sales person did come back in. In the meantime me and owner had a discussion about military discount and turned into argument which led to him calling district manager to get approval and me calling Roosevelt Ave store to confirm that they give me discount with proof of ID all the time only to have tolhe sales rep basically call me a liar. Owner of Agway did give me discount on the fact that district manager said to go ahead and in about 40 mins I was paid and out the door finally. When I got to my truxk I fing out young sales person asked my wife with three toddlers in the car to move trailer over 10ft which she tried and couldn't so offered sales person to drive and try and got response of he didn't know how. Vehicle was not even checked into their system when I arrived for pickup. No communication from staff as to the process of renting a Uhaul and what was required other than a photo ID and credit card. A simple run down of the vehicle would have been nice. Service was incredibly slow and unfriendly. Staff needs to be better trained on how to manage their participation in the Uhaul rental service.

Agway staff was very helpful and friendly. They showed me everything I needed to know about working with the ramp and rear door lock on this particular truck, as well as the dashboard, gear shift, etc. As a 68-year-old woman who had never driven a truck before, I was very grateful for the time they took. And since I had borrowed my neighbor's kids to do all the loading & unloading, I was the the one who was just having fun driving the truck!

I started this process at the Roosevelt ave location in York. It was so poorly managed I switched to west York agway. If another company( Ryder or Penske)would have rented trailers... Uhaul would have lost my business completely. Because of the Roosevelt Ave York location, Uhaul will be the last place I call from now on....Complete incompitance

I rented the truck for a day 24 hours. When I picked it up I was told to have it back by 4 pm - 16 hours earlier than I rented it for. Then the put that the truck had half a tank of gas and the mileage. When I got in the truck it had a quarter tank of gas and 200 miles less than what was written in the contract. My suggestion to improve for the next customer is to not charge for 24 hours then only let the customer have it for 8 hours, and try to lie about the amount of gas and mileage - honesty would be a HUGE plus for a business. Decietfulness is not good customer service especially overcharging in this economy.

ASKED FOR 3 FORMS OF ID TOLD ME TO MAKE SURE THE TRAILER WAS CLEAN BEFORE RETURNED BUT I GOT IT A MESS DID NOT HELP TO FIND THE UNIT OR EVEN HELP SET IT UP SAID ITS ON THE SIDE JUST GO PICK IT UP
