The staff at this location was great. However this was bot the original location I booked at and was given a guarantee for pickup. It wasn't until I was almost at the location I got a text and a phone call to go to another location and that it was the closest/ only location to get it from. I would like my $50 guarantee because it wasn't the location that booked the appointment

I recently had an unfortunate experience renting a truck from U-haul/Mitchells Food Mart, and I have to say, it was quite disappointing. In fact, it turned into a complete disaster. To begin with, the truck was not in the best shape when I received it. It was clear that the previous renter was a smoker, as the cabin was filled with ashes. It makes me wonder if the vehicle was cleaned at all before it was given to me. But that wasn't even the worst part. The left front tire was in terrible condition. It was so worn out that the cords were coming out, making it incredibly dangerous to drive. I only realized the extent of the risk when I encountered heavy rain on the road. With low visibility and the truck slipping and sliding, it was truly nerve-wracking. I only discovered the worn-out tire after the rain stopped and we did a walk-around. This not only made the journey unsafe, but it also left me questioning the integrity of U-haul/Mitchells Food Mart. Despite the obvious dangers and the fact that they kept all of my money, they didn't seem bothered by the condition of the vehicle they rented out. Fortunately, I had the foresight to take photographs of the truck's condition before taking possession of it. This proved to be crucial in preventing the store from blaming me for the mess. However, I can't help but feel disappointed and frustrated that I had to go to such lengths to protect myself in this situation.

Mark AThere was one person at this location, and she was also managing the store. The lady said, oh this trailer is stuck in the mud. The front part of the trailer was halfway buried in sand and mud. She couldn’t move the trailer and did not know how to attach it. After it was hooked up I asked her “do you know how this piece works?” And she walked away and said, “I have to be back in the shop.”
