Although site hours were posted and I was well within those hours, there was nobody on site. I returned early because U-Haul chose a drop off that left me with 5 extra hours of driving. I would not recommend U-Haul simply because of the drop off fiasco. I didn’t even get a refund from them.

I ordered 24 blankets but apparently they didn't have any left. All good though.
George JThis is for Uhaul, not this specific location. Allowing people to book a one way trip and call the at pick up to inform them they can o ly return the equipment 2.5 hours away, necessitating a 5hour drive to return the vehicle is ridiculous and uncalled for. If a location isn't available for drop offs, you shouldn't be able to book a drop off there.
Nicki DEquipment was on the whole well-maintained but the hitch mechanism needed lubrication. When attaching the hitch, I thought that I had torqued the coupler fully up to the ball because I could turn it no further - when in fact it was not moving further because of rusting / lack of lubrication. I made the mistake of not looking under the coupler to see how tight it was against the ball. I was fortunate that the hitch popped off the hitch ball in the parking lot of Home Depot - lightly loaded and not on the open road. When re-attaching, I had to push the coupler wedge against the ball with my finger in order to reduce the resistance to tightening. This is a 'note to file' for your staff - please don't assume that the trailer is hitched securely unless verified by visual inspection - and please ensure that all hitch mechanisms are frequently lubed.
