I can't say enough good things about Swiftly Moving and Omar. They stepped in late in the day to help our son and his pregnant wife after another moving company backed out and said they couldn't complete the unloading. Omar was professional, kind, and extremely helpful from the moment he arrived. He and his partner worked efficiently and unloaded everything in about half the time it took the previous movers. Their experience and work ethic were obvious. Most importantly, our son was thrilled with the service and relieved to have dependable help when he needed it most. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Booked them for last minute moving help on a Sunday evening. They were there first thing Monday morning, got everything done super quick and did a better job of loading the truck than I ever could. Super friendly and personable the whole time. If I'm ever back in Salem and need someone to help with a move, Capital City is my first, last, and only choice.

Started slightly later than expected due to another move being before ours, but that was well taken care of by how efficiently they worked upon arrival. Would definitely book again!

The team was outstanding, quick, friendly, careful with our belongings, and clearly experts at what they do. They made moving so much easier than we expected. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and will definitely be calling them again for our next move!

They will charge you double if they have to use an allen wrench on 4 table legs that took less than 5 minutes and tell you this AFTER the fact. Their attitudes towards customers is TERRIBLE. The way they spoke to me shouldn't be tolerated. They didn't use any of the furniture padding, sofa covers, or mattress covers I purchased. They charged me $85 for an extra hour and didn't fulfill the hour because they had another job that was more important. I will also be filing a claim with Moving Help over this situation. There's a reason why they're the cheapest on this site, so lesson learned. Unless you are in a serious money pinch I would not hire this mover at all. Spend the money and call an actual moving service. Hopefully this saves someone the pain, especially seeing as Moving Help won't respond to me either. Whole situation is absolute joke.

Germane ans 2 other movers came around 7 pm as I was running late connecting with them. Germaine was very understanding and professional. All three movers were quick and efficient. Literally moved a 20 ft truck in 40 mins. Highly Recommend Germaine for moving help or any project that you need help with ie furniture assembly or tv mount. Excellent service

The gentleman that moved my things were outstanding

We didn't have a move, but actually needed help shuffling large and heavy furniture from room to room on different floors of the house, which Ian and his co-worker were more than happy to help with. We have moved a lot in the course of our lives being from military families and former military ourselves and they were by far the most professional, attentive, and careful movers we've ever had. They paid such special care to not bang the furniture or scuff the walls and doorways as they navigated tight turns and corners to maneuver the furniture around. I want to give them 10 stars, so they each get 5 stars of their own. Highly recommend. Will hire them again if I need help in the future.

Communication from reservation to completion was on point! Carl is great to work with. Zack and Jakai were phenomenal!! Not only did they unload but assembled a bed I forgot we had brought with us. I cannot express how much I appreciate these two hard workers. Will def use again!!!!

Are We There Yet was fantastic! I will 100 percent be requesting their help for my next move. Daryl called to make sure the appointment time worked for me, and the crew Tyler and Chaston loaded the 15' moving truck while fitting all of my randomly shaped moving items very snugly. They were especially helpful with my heavy items up and down my stairs and made sure I was happy with how everything was placed and protected. Thanks again!

Amazing experience, they showed up on time, started right away and got it all up 2 flights of stairs, everything intact, could not recommend anyone better.

Though they were late, Cory tried to charge for overage. Workers were great!

I hired movers for two hours to move my nephew. Upon arrival they were obviously dismayed that I had misjudged and misreported the amount of stuff to be moved (who knew people had so much stuff!!) but to me two hours is two hours so what does it matter? How was I to know that it’s near impossible to load and unload a 2 bedroom apartment in 2 hours? Once this was mentioned, I requested an additional hour to which they and their boss agreed (they could have said no). The major issue came into play with time keeping. The movers were definitely using different math than I (maybe forgetting they took a 30 min break) and I had to get the boss involved to get the last 10-15 min of my time (which completed the move) while one mover complained loudly. A text confirmation of start and stop times in the future might avoid such a situation. An evening move was clearly a problem. The guys were very nice and efficient otherwise. The boss (Cody) was kind and accommodating.

I booked two people for two hours. One of the helpers was pretty good minus dropping a heavy box on my fragile box. The other guy wasn’t very helpful. He struggled with the bulky furniture and I ended up helping carry some of it up the stairs. Both of them carried my entertainment center upside down and ended up scratching the top surface from dragging it on the ground. It was clear that these helpers did not understand basic moving concepts. Because we assisted with the unloading we had the truck empty within one hour. I would not use the help again. From the communication stand point the company was great. Very responsive and clear.

They handled all our furniture and other belongings carefully and efficiently. We were their last move of the day and they were running late, but kept in touch. We would definitely use them again.

Our moving helper was fabulous! He was fast. He was polite. He was cheerful and my goodness was he strong. Unfortunately, he had no helper and ended up carrying a full size mattress up two flights of stairs. Unfortunately, the mattress didn’t fit easily through the front door and one of my daughter’s new roommates noticed that it was not seated properly on its hinges so that the front door to the apartment building wasn’t closing securely. They may need to be reimbursed for repairs.

I thought Nate and Scott and Robert were very professional took very good care of our belongings and got all of our furniture on without any issues and helped us out of our apartment a whole day earlier than we thought.

The movers-workers were great. They contacted me they were on their way and made short work of loading our truck! They packed everything with care and were very professional. I did take one star off for communication - not because of a language barrier, but because no one ever contacted me about arrival time. I called them & the phone wasn't answered with the name of a company - just a hello. I asked if I had the right number for the moving service and was told YES- what time do you want them to arrive?' Made me a little nervous - didn't feel like a bonafide company, but it all went well in the end. Would hire them again.

I am sorry to have to give this less than stellar review because Mohammed and his wife were very pleasant and personable. Unfortunately it was only he and his wife when we needed some muscle to get heavy furniture up some stairs. He didn’t bring any equipment I have seen other movers use. We did end up having a neighbor help us out. Otherwise that furniture would not have made it up the stairs. Also Mohammed didn’t seem to have much experience; he set a box down upside down immediately after being told it was fragile, and lifted a table by the leg after being told carry it by the top.

Best experience by far. 10 out of 10 they were so polite and were so efficient. I kept wanting to help with the lifting and they didnt want me carrying the heavy stuff. They were so awesome. The first company I booked never scheduled with me so U-Haul customer service helped me switched to this company.. the representative from the company reached out fairly quickly. Very nice and polite. They arrived when stated. Not uniformed and they bought a baby with them during the move - that was all over the place. On a scale of 1-10.. they were a 5. Needed a bed put together.. they were standing around trying to figure it out. If it’s simple- they could assemble, but it’s it a little complicated- I don’t recommend. I needed laborers and they got me moved on the second floor. Which I needed. They followed up to get me scheduled and I was able to get moved.

We rented a 20 ft truck and it was poorly packed. There’s a lot of gaps between items. I mentioned the gaps and asked them to stack the items to the ceiling. They said they would but left the truck a mess. We’re having to pull the load out to rearrange in order to make the rest of the boxes fit. What a waste of time and money. I will be requesting a refund.

Movers were very nice, hardworking and came on time. With a strong language barrier it was quite hard to communicate what needed to be done and how. Would have been helpful if they brought shoulder straps or something for larger items.

I booked two workers and one showed up 30 minutes late, The second worker was supposed to arrive but we waited 1.5 hours and then he said he’s not going to come. So I had to help out a lot and beat the second mover myself and then took an extra a few hours. Didn’t get back any type of compensation been trying to get in contact with somebody to see what’s going on. I paid for two workers and only got one and didn’t get any type of refund or compensation.

The team was running late, although they communicated about their delay and arrival times, and upon arrival did not seem to have been made aware of the building situation (stairs). However once we talked it all through it worked out well, and movers did a great job despite UHaul not supplying the moving dolly that had been requested and paid for with the truck rental.

English Connection offered good communication and showed up on time. However, the main issue was the pace. Two young men loaded our trailer in about 3.5 hours at the origin, but this crew appeared on track to take more than hours to unload it. The process moved so slowly that my wife, kids, and I stepped in to unload, and we ended up working noticeably faster than the hired crew. While the unloading process did present some additional challenges, they weren't significant enough to explain the large difference in efficiency. The owner was polite and professional, but the overall process was extremely slow compared to what I expected from a professional moving service.

Lawrance Hill and his crew of Quick Qualified Movers were excellent, quick in answering calls and text messages, on time, had truck and dolly, did the job (picked up and returned the U-box, unpacked boxes from the U-box and moved furniture), did extra move of items. I would ask for his help in moving again.

I was supposed to get two Movers, but only one showed up, but it didn’t matter because he was able to get it done and under two hours

1st off, they were about 1 hour and 20 minutes late for a 3pm appointment. They complained that a student desk was too heavy and they would have wanted more money to move it to the 2nd floor had they known about it in advance (the desk was moved from a 2nd floor in Houston with no comments)....which I said no to and did not pay. In moving the desk and bedroom furniture on the second floor, they started off by pushing the items along the floor....scratching the wood floor. I had to tell them to stop and carry or dolly the items. They finished the work in under 1 hour.....working all the time, never stopping. For that I was pleased. And yes, they were tipped upon completion.

Donte and his partner were wonderful. I was unable to keep my original 9AM move time due to unforseen circumstances. Donte kept in touch with me the through out the day until he was able to fit me in before his last job. They arrived, loaded my belongings quickly and professionally. They were a life saver! I highly recommend Donte and his team. Would give 10 stars!

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the professionalism and hard work these two men put into helping me unpack my uhaul. My move had been a very stressful one and they came in, did a fantastic job, and it completely lowered my stress levels. They were so kind, personable, and very eager to help. I was so pleased with their work that I am hiring them to do another job moving some larger pieces of furniture. I would recommend Two Dudes, One Couch to anyone and everyone I can. My mom was also blown away with the work they did and their positive attitudes and is telling her neighbors and realtor about their services.
