Can I rent a storage unit on a holiday? 

Yes. You can still rent and move into a storage unit on a holiday with U-Haul. While some facility offices may be closed or have reduced hours on major holidays like Christmas, you can always reserve and rent a unit online. 

For locations that support online move-in, you can complete the entire process digitally and head straight to the facility to move your items in. Storage access hours typically remain unchanged, so you’ll still be able to access your unit even if the office is closed. 

Can I rent a trailer on a holiday? 

It depends on whether your local U-Haul location is open. Unlike trucks, trailers and towing equipment are not currently available for 24/7 self-service pickup. This means you’ll only be able to rent and pick up a trailer during that location’s business hours, even on holidays. 

However, if you already have a trailer rented, you can still return it when the location is closed using the self-return option.
