Toyota Sienna (2004-2019) hitch installation steps

1. Clean the weld nuts

Use the battery terminal clear to remove all debris and corrosion from the weld nuts. There are three on each side of the vehicle. Note: If your Toyota Sienna came with an underbody panel, it will have to be removed and trimmed to complete the installation. Refer to the instructions that came with your hitch for more information.

2. Lower the exhaust

Use the exhaust removal wrench to push the isolator rod out of the rubber exhaust hanger. You may need to use soapy water to loosen the rod. The rubber hanger is located on the passenger side above the exhaust muffler.

3. Position the hitch

Use a second pair of hands to raise the lift into position. Slide the right hitch bracket over the muffler, then align all six attachment holes. Install the six M12 bolts and conical washers with the teeth facing the hitch. Tighten the bolts by hand first, then secure them using the 19mm socket fitted with the 5-inch extension.

4. Torque the hitch

Use the torque wrench fitted with the 19mm socket and 5-inch extension and torque each M12 bolt to 75 ft. lb. You should hear a clicking sound after the correct amount of torque has been applied.

5. Raise the exhaust

Reinsert the isolator rod into the rubber exhaust hanger.

Once installed, the hitch should measure:

  • 11 ¾ in. from the top of the receiver to the ground
  • 4 ½ in. from the pin hole to the end of the bumper

You should now have your Draw-Tite 75237 trailer hitch installed on your Toyota Sienna.
